10 Games That Died Trying to EXPAND Their Audience Bobby: i honestly think that metal gear survive, dino crisis 3, and banjo-kazooie nuts and bolts(should have been on the list) all would have been better games if they dropped the connections to the previous games! if survive was just a zombies game by capcom and maybe dropped the horrid monetization it would have been a fun zombie game! dino crisis three was hated because it was so different from the first two! and nuts and bolts was such an amazing cart builder i had so much fun with it if it had been just a separate game people wouldnt hate it so much

Mass Effect: Andromeda
What was meant to be the next big step in the Mass Effect Story, set in a new galaxy with new characters, enemies & mysteries turning into a game that wasn't given nearly enough development time or attention, was forced into the Frostbite engine despite none of the devs having 0 experience with it, was released with bugs and visual glitches and was killed off almost instantly by EA when it wasn't universally loved.
Andromeda was sacrificed so EA could force Bioware to make Anthem. Thankfully that also flopped and more Mass Effect seems to be on the way but Andromeda will never live to see it's full potential.

I feel like the only one in the world who actually enjoys the Saints Row Reboot. It was a rough start but when I stopped comparing it to the other games, I found it a fun experience. Then again, I love all the Saints Row games from 1 all the way through IV, Gat Out Of Hell and Agents Of Mayhem and most people I know hate everything after Saints Row 2 which I've always found as unfair because they are so fun including the reboot.
But I suppose everyone has their own tastes. And I can imagine my taste isn't one that suits the Saints Row Community.

NO. SR(2022) did not fail because it attempted to combine gangland and zany. SR(2022) failed because the plot and characters were complete and total Zoomer asspulls, and the gameplay was worse in some cases than SR2, and in all cases than SR3 except for the fact that poly counts were higher and you could leave footprints in the sand. In every other metric though, SR3 was manifestly better.

I wanted to play the new Saints Row until every single gameplay video and walkthrough showed the absolute worst diaologue and most unlikeable charachters in gaming history. I tried watching even TheRadBrad play it bc hes so positive about things and not even his videos could sway my thoughts. It actually made it worse bc there was not a single piece of that game that looked fun. Rip SR.

I hope Saint Row is as good as dead and hope everyone who developed that dog shit game reboot lost their jobs and is never be invited to another project ever again.
Every single person who worked on that game deserves nothing less than being jobless for the rest of their life. Writers, producers and everyone who lead that project i wish all of them to lose their jobs

I would add Hitman: Absolution to the list, it made many of the mistakes seen in this list and for many players the franchise was dead at that point. The good thing is that in 2016 IO Interactive release a new Hitman game while going back to what made the old games great and it was a massive success, proving many franchise on this list can make a come back!

idk bout anyone but would it had help saints row if it had stuff from SOA and Mayans? For metal gear survive instead trying to spin off or extend or whatever it was from MGS, would it been wrong for them to actually made it a zombie game or something like resident evil? During this video, it made me wish i can go back in time.

I played about 100 hours of Cyberpunk when it released. I just laughed at the bugs accept for the ones that glitched the game or my build. But even though I enjoted it, the game was broken from day 1. I've still not finished it and may never. Such a shame for so much hype and potential.
So thats on my list

Man, the 2008 Turok Game was one of my favorites back in the day. To be fair, it was my very first time playing any of the games, but the intro and your first introduction to a dinosaur was so memorable for me. I've always wanted them to make a Turok game for next-gen consoles so they could really do it right.

We already have the men so let's do what we've been told to do by an activist cat lady (who's only friends are insufferable academic childless cat ladies) to appeal to women, that's clear to bring a wider audeicne, not forsake, alienate and scorn our existing playerbase and help us make more money

I genuinely don't understand the hate towards the Saints Row reboot, I've been replaying all the Saints Row games and it's probably the best one, it feels like people are talking about an entirely different game cause I haven't had any of the issues anyone mentions, I genuinely don't understand

EA actually asked, if fans want a remake of Dead space 2 after the success of DS1. So, fingers crossed.
Dead space 3 remake without co-op and mtx crap could actually be very good game. Everything is there, it just required some polishness in terms of horror and deletion of co-op.

Saint's Row 2 and 3 were so different from 4 but I still love all three of them. I haven't played the new one because I don't want the memories ruined. My son got it and he said it was absolutely awful, and we share a lot of the same tastes in games and movies.

OMG I still remember the time when SimCity came out, I'm not usually the critical type I try my best to stick with the game in hopes that it might improve but boy did SimCity turned into a trash. One of the worst experiences I've had along with this new Saints Row

I'd actually say MGSV may have been the first push away from the Metal Gear games, I personally think it's still an amazing game but my dad said he didn't like it that much and I guess you have to believe your dad when it comes to the daddest of game series
reply

As being not that into metal gear series i tried survive n its awful i like survival games too but not for me plus it got hard i never beat it it was actually a struggle to get certain supplies like water and food i know id have more fun with the real mgs games

The new saints row sucked because they were wanna be gangsters. One dude wants to rob a joint for his college debt, another for a waffle maker. Come on, steal cause you wanna buy a sick ass car and burn rubber in other people's faces.

Genuinely surprised Pokemon isn't on here. Like ofc it hasn't died but goddamn, they haven't had a good game since the 3DS
And I swear if y'all try and tell me Arceus or S/V were good, you're delusional, please go play a good game
