Hi Falcon. I've got to say, you've got great comedic timing. I love watching your videos; you always make me laugh. Jake is good, no offense to him, but I look forward to your videos more. However, one thing I never understand is all the hate that gets thrown at Disney (or other corporations, for that matter) for trying to make money (not you, so much as people in general. I mean, is anyone not trying to make money? If there was a money-making convention, Disney would go, cosplaying as money? And you wouldn't? If someone said you can do a thing and get paid for it (and the thing isn't morally or legally questionable, wouldn't you do it? And yet everyone puts Disney down for making a lot of money. Disney usually puts out quality products, and as such, they should get paid for it. At no time in the past, did Disney ever say, Hey world. We have decided that making entertainment isn't a real business and we are going to start doing this for free. They are a business, and as such, their business is to make money, so that they can continue doing business, in order to make even more money. Which is basically exactly what working class people do on a smaller scale.
On the other hand, I completely agree with you on number two. There is no way the ESRB should be taking peoples' pictures to verify they are adults. And they shouldn't be policing what people are buying for their kids. I have a daughter, and when she was younger, if there was something I thought was a little too mature for her, I would tell her no. As a parent, I was probably pretty lenient, as I feel that most things are fine, if I just talk with her about it. I taught her how to drive in GTA when she was like 9. I also took the time to explain why that would be horrible in real life, and she has become a very productive person. I'm pretty sure she has not become a bank robber or mass murderer as a result of playing GTA. I wouldn't appreciate anyone else telling me what I can and cannot let my daughter do.

The Tencent and Techland thing isn't that weird. Tencent owns or is a majority stock holder in A LOT of companies and as much as people are fearmongering about them nothing has really changed in the companies they own or heavily invest in due to their control. They seem pretty content with letting companies do their own thing.
The companies they own or has investments in are Epic Games, Riot Games, Bluehole, Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard, Grinding Gear Games, Supercell, Platinum Games, Yager, Paradox Interactive Gaming, Fatshark, Funcom, Sharkmob, Discord, FromSoftware, Klei Entertainment, Turtle Rock Studios and now Techland. Some goes as low as 5% holdings but several are Majority holdings and some 40%+ holdings. Yet it is hard to point a finger to one place and say They drastically changed after Tencent invested! so this notion that Tencent is bad for gaming is weird and I know there is the implications of they are a Chinese company and spying and yada yada but that is well far more complex.

As to Story 6, the suspect was declared to be incompetent to stand trial (or a doubt was raised about his competence, which is different than entering a not guilty by reason insanity plea (NGI. Incompetent means the defendant is incapable of assisting in his/her defense, either due to a mental impairment, mental health issue, or learning disability. The defendant is usually then evaluated by one or more psychologists who will determine if the defendant has the mental capacity to understand the court process. Send online cheaters to prison. Problem solved. And yes I m 100% serious. These companies could press them for loss of revenue and Esports should also get in and perma ban entire teams if one player is caught cheating online. Make online cheating in MP games a crime, with a penalty, a smol crime like a speeding ticket. We gotta start thinking of the internet as more of an ecosystem than an object and just like disruptive drivers get punished, the same needs to apply to people who go out of their way and spend time money and effort just to ruin others experiences with products they legally purchased, so yes I m serious it s time for Laws to catch up, and I imagine a not small sum of time and money goes into anti cheat which could be going to game dev but in reality would likely go to some new loot box pass thing

It would be best for the following matches put them into lobbies with only cheaters and hard bots to mimic players, without warning, so they spend as long as possible without realizing they've been punished.
And of course there's the more long term solution of implementing better anti cheats, like the still under development AI anti cheat that makes a footprint of the person based on their mouse micromovements and patterns, and can ban the cheater on every subsequent account by identifying that.

just going to point this out the esrb can't do the face scaning thing if the parent buys them a rated m game for an older consoles because nothing is stopping kids from buying an og xbox then buying stuff like house of the dead 3 halo 1 and 2 doom 3 or gta 3 vice city and san andreas and other rated m games heck even the adult games on the sega saturn if you know where to find that vintage stuff

12: 16 another guy is doing a similar thing with The Simpsons Hit and Run, but instead of a remake he's doing a remaster, he's even doing the cutscenes by hand drawn animation and it looks amazing like in the cartoons. It's been made by this guy called El Gato Del Tejado, it is an amazing work and because it's not a remake but a remaster mod he can release it when he finished it.

its getting really sickening that chinese companies are buying as many companies as they are. looking at the microsoft activision-blizzard attempted merge and how much that's gone, and then seeing china just being able to do and buy whatever they want, the rest of the world needs to put them in their place.

when the story about the clones showed up it also said that players that got reported for cheating would have them in their game, not just illegitimate players, so imagine this, a person is just really good at the game, but gets constantly reported, what happens? they get clones showing up for them.

Yes get these fukn kids off my game. I hate watching my language when I'm trying to unwind with my friends. I don't go to a playground and Crack a beer open and playing with them. So y do It in a virtual world. Get off my game. Yes we do need Corp. To do this parents are freaking lazy.

About the guy who swatted Ubisoft offices. In France the justice system is extremely soft. Repeated offenders will get only 2 or 3 years in prison (prisons in which they get access to the internet and PS4) and most criminals never get into prison at all.

I gotta say I never heard anyone say switch was going to be bad everyone I knew at the time was excited about it. I do remember falcon saying he had the same feeling about cyberpunk 2077 as the switch though, and boy was he wrong haha.

For story #8 it does matter that he's black. Representation does matter and seeing people that look like us excel in spaces where most people do not look like us is extremely important. Very disappointment in that take man.

That is total BS, If the AntiCheat system can keep cheaters busy by throwing AI bots at them then why don't they just ban them rather than do this or they can match the cheaters with other cheaters (a server full of cheaters)

Grinding Gear Games is also owned by Tencent and has a similar deal, but there's little doubt that Tendcent has heavily influenced the way their game has gone since. even if not directly dictating the path forward.

Im not sure if a swat response in Canada is the same as it is in the US. Some parts of the UK just send some officers to check up on the situation. Still a no no though, they could be doing actual police work.
