MOST REALISTIC FOREST GRAPHICS NINTENDO SWITCH 2 STRUGGLE & MORE Their idea that the new switch won't be popular if it doesn't have some gimmick, is absurd, and anti-marketing. All of the gimmicks the switch had, like HD rumble and the photo IR sensor and stuff, were all abandoned because they didn't matter. The Wii was bogged by faulty hardware and shovelware, gimmicks didn't save the Wii U, they need to learn a lesson and just make a decent system like the Switch again. The Switch was a near perfect Nintendo system, all they need to do, is make it again, give it stronger hardware and a powerful launch library, make it backwards compatible (optional but highly suggested, and for the love of God, call it the Super Switch. The Switch was basically a company console reset, like the NES. Making a stronger version would be a call back to the SNES, and the alliteration of Super Switch is too good to pass up. Do some slight retro branding and advertising, and the stronger console will sell like hotcakes.

Nintendo has an opportunity to perfect this platform for the Switch 2. It would give them another 7 years to come up with the next new great idea. The goal should be to reach around 70% of the power of the current gen consoles, improve the motion, gyro and pad controls, and just make more great Nintendo games for it. Backwards compatibility is necessary, via both carts and the online store, and adding more games, especially the classics, will potentially give them a way to reach close to how the Switch has sold so far.
This will also sell a ton of the original consoles along side it. I think a great way to capture their current market is to offer a pre-order system, similar to how the Steam Deck was released, to anyone with a yearly NSO subscription. If I am able to pre-order this day 1 and guarantee I get one without fighting scalpers and awful online stores that time out before you can purchase it, I'm on board.
The needs to meet are not that high. Just improve what they already are doing, and ensure easy access to your established ownership base.

First thing with jungle:
I have had this for years but am currently completely unimpressed. For how many years can we get excited about amazing graphics Have you seen the state of current games that look beautiful Aren't they empty blowups Do they offer graphics and not much more Is that what we want Is that what we get so excited about It's been about a decade since I stopped caring about such things.
In 2007, Crysis was created, which offered amazing graphics but. everything else too. The destruction model, the animations, the physics, the inventive way to play, the new ideas. Now we only have graphics that no longer develops quickly and does not shock with anything. It's just more and more realistic graphics requiring a graphics card for 2-3 thousand dollars and still the frames per second will drop. I'm tired of hearing that something looks more and more realistic. With all due respect. Journalists need to report news from the world of video games.

I think people should be a little cautious about the next Nintendo console. Historically, their killer consoles come every other generation since the N64, (not counting handhelds) N64 blew everyone out of the water, then the Game Cube underperformed. They followed that up with the Wii, which again, destroyed all competition, but was followed up by the Wii U, which didn't do well. Then came the Switch, which as we know is a killer console. I think the Switch 2 is going to let a lot of people down if it's just a more powerful Switch. Nintendo is at it's best when it innovates and doesn't just give a more powerful version of what we already have. It has avoided having to go head to head with Sony and Microsoft by taking chances the other 2 can't. I will love a more powerful Switch, and I'll buy one, but I think their next console after this one is the one that will defy expectations again.

Still holding my breath on Bloodlines 2. It has had a super rocky development. Change of studios, dropping key figures entirely, and been very hush hush for a while now. While giving this hint lets people know they are still hard at work on it, it also leaves a lot of questions about the current dialogue they did show. Is it going to be a real RPG dialogue tree - one that has various conclusions based on how you answer, or is it all linear with 'mood' responses based on how you feel like answering with no real consequence/benefit on choice
I want Bloodlines 2 to be good, as there haven't really been many good vampire games. but so far I'm not really convinced given what they have shown so far.

Mr. baldino, I don't have a ps5 yet, but I do have enough to get one. But in your opinion should I just continue saving for a state of the art newest PC computer for gaming or do you recommend getting a ps5 since I am a ps5 fan boy and haven't played the newest God of War yet Is it OK to play God of War ragnork on ps4 or ps5, or should I just save for PC Also, do you know anything about a day's gone 2 coming out, or is it all just a cruel joke I'll appreciate your intake since you have inside knowledge of this stuff more than my regular normal self. Thanks if you answer, good sir.

Palworld. Breaking the video game industry in all the wrong ways and guys like you won't call it out. Why The egregious asset flipping alone is bad but then you add on the blatant plagiarism and AI use and asking for money when a game is in this state. Come on Jake or Falcon, Call this crap out for what harm its doing!
When all we have is poorly baked creature crafting open world games is all we have in 5 -7 years, don't say we couldn't do anything to stop it.

I dont think ill ever be excited for a playstation game no matter how good it looks. Ive spent too much time, money and effort building my pc and my 500 game library to ever consider downgrading to any console ever again. Sony has gotten better over the years realizing that people play games on PC but theyre missing a whole ass market of gamer. Side not i dont think i can even play with a controller anymore, havent touched one since 2009

Nintendo's consoles have been in a pattern: They make something awesome>They make something lukewarm>repeat. The N64 was very successful>The Gamecube was okay, but meh>The Wii was WILDLY successful>The WiiU was forgettable>The Switch was VERY successful. Whatever the Switch2 ends up being called, it won't be a surprise to me if it's met with an awkward and unenthusiastic 'yeeeey. ' while we wait for the console that comes after that.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Destiny has done more damage to the video game industry and its users than anything else. It may not have been the first live service game, but the literal billions it made Bungie, meant every publisher out there wanted a piece. Now almost everything is either live service, or full of micro transactions.
Suicide Squad has the potential for a great game. But we won't get it.

Nintendo is going to have some quirk, but they’ll release with a new Mario game or Zelda game (probably Mario) and they will continue to destroy the market with cheap ass technology and underperforming hardware. What’s crazy is that they’ll still manage to make it more fun to play than most other consoles (at least in the way that targets the family market. They are annoying but brilliant.

I am one of the people that think its time for Nintendo to catch up with the other consoles when it comes to the power of their system. I don't think they have to change much of the UI and design but it needs a major upgrade CPU wise. At least PS4/Xbox 1 era. You can still have the Nintendo Mario look but also have a powerful enough system to handle other games.

Gonna make the bold prediction that the Switch 2 will have graphics slightly better than the PS4 pro. Honestly the LCD screen doesn’t bother me at all. I have both a standard switch and the OLED switch my OLED switch got water damage and and it was honestly easier than expected to go back to the LCD screen. Nintendo will be fine.

Whenever I hear producers push for and promote hyper-realistic graphics heavily it feels like such a disconnect to what I actually care about as a player. Especially if that's what they focus on most with promotions. Graphics are cool and all, and can bring about wow moments, but they are never the highlight of the game

gameranxTV dudes you should do a Gameranx Archives’ spinoff videos presenting old games like Desperados, Delta Force, old NFS etc. It will be really cool to explore the history of gaming especially for the younger audiences as well as us dinosaurs that are playing ever since 1998. Pizza will be on me!

I just want to know, what's the point of great graphics if they don't end up in the games when they are released, all this technology and yet somehow most games on PS5 look like they are on PS3, we already know THE games that actually benefit from Real Engine 5, and they are only few!

Anybody else hoping that Nintendo sees palworld and decides its time to make at least a slightly more powerful home console I love my switch and enjoyed playing BOTW and TOTK on it but a little more power behind it would really be amazing. Idk if it's likely but it sure would be nice

When you brought up neversoft doing a cod demo made me get a flashback of Evolution skateboarding by konami, you could skate as snake on some metal gear locations. such a wonderfully weird memory you accidentally popped back into my brain. so thank you, have a great weekend guys!

Palworld has a lot of bugs atm hopefully they get fixed, the most annoying one is randomly a lot, assets load out or the graphics go wonky on the open world and things start falling through the floor. Including my own character. It's definitely put my playtime down on it.

Unreal Engine 5. 3 - MAWI has the most realistic real-time forest graphics. This forest is 100% procedurally generated, has a 4 sqkm map, and uses photogrammetry scanned assets. It also uses ultra highres Nanite foliage, Lumen dynamic lighting, and Virtual Shadow Maps.
