Who could resist these homemade cinnamon rolls? Rich and fluffy, with their soft, buttery interior they are totally irresistible. The smell while baking is unforgettable. You can hardly stop to only one roll. Video sponsered by Buy Me a Pie Download App here: Ingredients Makes 12 big rolls Dough 3 1/2 cups (440g) flour + extra for dusting 25 g fresh yeast (2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast) 1 cup (240 ml) lukewarm milk 2 tbsp+1 tsp (30g +5g) sugar 1 tsp (5g) salt 2 eggs 4 tbsp (56g) oil or melted butter Filling 5 tbsp (70g) butter, at room temperature 2 tbsp (13g) ground cinnamon 1/2 cup (100g) packed light brown sugar Icing 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar 1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract 2 tbsp (30 ml) milk 1. Prepare the dough. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar over the yeast and 1/3 cup of the milk. Stir to dissolve. 2. In a large bowl combine flour, 2 tbsp sugar and salt. Add oil or melted butter, dissolved yeast, eggs and the rest of 2/3 cup milk. Stir to combine and knead until the dough is soft, a bit sticky but quite elastic and pulls away from the side of the bowl. If it feels too soft, you can add extra flour up to 1/2 cup (63g. Let it rest for 10 minutes. 3. In a small bowl combine butter with cinnamon and sugar. 4. On an oiled or floured surface roll the dough in a 12x18 inch (30x45cm) rectangle. Spread butter cinnamon mixture over the top of the rectangle. Roll the dough, seal the seam with water and cut into 12 equal size rolls. Place on a parchment paper lined (9x13 inch - 23x33cm) tray with 1/2 -1 inch (2 cm) distance between them to allow them to rise. 5. Cover with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise in a warm place for about one hour, until doubled in size. (if the tray is not too tall you might need to grease the plastic wrap so it doesn't stick. 6. Preheat oven to 350F (180 C. 7. Bake the rolls for about 15-20 minutes until lightly browned. 8. Prepare the glaze. Mix powdered sugar with vanilla and milk and before serving drizzle over the rolls. 9. Serve warm alongside a cup of milk.

This was my fourth attempt to making cinnamon rolls and the third recipe. I had loads of fun doing it (prepare your ingredients before hand) added 4 extra teaspoons heap teaspoons of flour not because the dough was sticky (actually it hardly stuck at all) but because i suspected it was too soft. Hard to tell. They came out gorgeous, and I loved the simple vanilla glaze without any butter. Both The process and the end result were terrific. Thank you for this recipe. Really But I'm intrigued, how do I exactly tell if the dough is too soft? Do you have to go through a lot of trial and error to find out or 2-3 teaspoons of flour don't really make that difference and I don't have to be exact.

Just finished baking a batch of these cinnamon rolls I followed the recipe exactly (except I used my standing mixer to kneed the dough, it was easy to follow and came together with no problems. My cinnamon rolls baked for 20 mins and came out slightly crisp on the outside while soft and pillowy on the inside. Would definitely make these again but add a little vanilla to the dough as well as make 1. 5x the cinnamon-sugar filling. Felt like it could do with a bit more filling but that's obviously a personal preference.

I learned a lot of great techniques from this video, thank you for sharing. When i make my cinnamon rolls, i used melted butter as a base for the cinnamon, brown sugar and nutmeg mixture but every time i baked it in the oven, the filing would ooze out every where which was irritating. That didnt deter me however from eating them, was just annoyed. Next time i make cinnamon rolls, i will use your method of using room temp butter, brown sugar and nutmeg and mixing it as a paste, then adding it into the dough.

I've just made this recipte ( well, not finished yet, the rolls are in the oven) and the dough wasn't ready with just 10 minutes of rest. I left it resting for half and hour or so. I didn't make it with baking power, instead of fresh yeast, my advice is to make sure you add a huge amount of flour

Hi. why do you rest the dough for 10 minutes only. most of the recipes call for one hour rest then a another hour after rolling. I want to make them and follow your recipe but the question stopped me. My point is cinnamon roll usually likes resting in order to reach that puffiness.

I tried it today. In general, it's good but for someone like me who isn't used to the cinnamon taste, it's a little bit too much. My mom liked it but my mom and me have opposite liking when it comes to food. So I'm going to retry it with chocolate instead.

I made them today but I wasn't satisfied. The recipe was very watery and I needed to add more flour. the rolls did not doubled their size even after half an hour. Don't know what went wrong and after I cooked them they were not so fluffy as in the video. can anyone knows why?
