I tried making the beans yesterday with a few minor changes and the result was delicious. Instead of canned beans I soaked mine overnight and instead of passata(which we don't get easily here in the US, I blanched, de-skined, de-seeded and pureed some fresh roma tomatoes. Served it on warm toasted french bread with some cheese on top. I also have some left over. I'm going to toss that up with some crispy bacon today evening. I'm sure that will take it even beyond the upper atmosphere of radeliciousness and put it into a foodgasmic orbit. After all, everything tastes better with bacon. Thanks for the awesome recipe DJ BBQ. :)

First off, this tasted really good, thanks for this awesome recipe! As a meat lover I thought I would really miss meat in this recipe but decided to give it a go anyway and was not disappointed: ) Because I made too much I have some leftover baked beans. What should I eat it with? Was thinking of adding some rice maybe.

For a long time I was under the impression that DJBBQ resembled someone, but I couldn't quite remember who. Yesterday, though, it hit me: Paul Gilbert. Am I the only one who thinks DJBBQ resembles Paul? To me, it only adds to DJ's awesomeness, cuz I really love Paul Gilbert's guitar playing! =D

Hmm. I don't get the Rosemary worship from James or your good self, sir. I find the herb much too intrusive and overpowering. Having said that, awesome recipe, matey. Think I'll try this puppy out! Ta much!

Wow. That looks amazing. I'm gonna like this vid and sub to your page if this is what your throwing at us. And thank you for taking off the rings part way into the vid. Sweet rings, but not in the food.
