Sometimes, you need a good cheesy casserole. This hashbrown casserole is creamy, cheesy goodness that never disappoints. This works great as a holiday dinner side or an ordinary Wednesday. I also love to make this alongside roasted chicken or on its own because it's that good. When your new video releases at the same time when I get paid, my wallet is cooked. I want to so badly run to the store but I already just went to the grocery store But Im definitely making this a few times before the holidays so I can take this somewhere

I’ve got some Lipton onion soup mix and sour cream I think that’s like the dip, I’m gonna try itunfortunately I have to shred my own potatoes and cheese so say a prayer for my fingers lol I have bad luck with shredders haha

I made this! Couldnt stop thinking about it after you posted the video. The only thing I changed was adding half of another bag of hashbrowns to stretch it. I had it as a side dish for a week. Doesn't get old. :)
Thank you!

Do you ever add a meat (ham, bacon or chicken) to make a this dish the main part of your meal Love that you shared your favorite or secret alternatives for the best flavors. Thank you so much!

Sooo gonna try this. thanks for sharing only I'm gonna mix the dry French onion soup mix with sour cream. I personally don't care for the Deans Onion Dip myself. like you say. Do You lol

Instead of the onion dip, I might use sour cream and french fried onions that you use in green bean casserole at Thanksgiving. Yum! Yum! Yum. But this also looks amazing. Yum! Yum! Yum!

If I have some potatoes I want to use up, would I be able to shred them and stir them in raw in place of the frozen hashbrowns Or are the frozen hashbrowns already partly cooked
reply

I've made something similar before but I've never used onion dip. I will def use it next time instead of sour cream. Now I want to run out for some hash browns and onion dip!
reply

I will have to try it your way. The sharpness of the Cheese and dip will definitely make a flavor difference. Last time I had this it was so bland. I'll do it your way!

Great idea on the French onion dip!
I love meat loaf and these potatoes along with country green beans. Cracker Barrel has a really good hash brown casserole too.

This looks delightful! Counting the moments till it gets chilly & I can fill the house with warm, comforting fragrances & pile on the insulation lol. Thank you for this!

Thank you. As a person who cooks for a person with Celiac who loved mac and cheese I now have a sub. Yes I can't use canned cream of chicken but I can make my own.

Sooooo, my country doesn’t sell hash browns like that- only the ones that are already formed and fried. Woukd shredding or grating plain potato’s work in this

This is such a coincidence! My mother, who passed away 36 years ago, would make this casserole as part of my birthday dinner every year. And today IS my birthday!

Looks so yummy. I never buy French onion dip but I've seen a particular variety in the store - French onion with bacon. Bacon makes everything better, amiright

We used to make something similar at Easter. It goes perfect with ham. I didn't use onion dip but did add finely diced / grated onions. Pure comfort food.

We love hashbrown casserole with some ham cubes and an over easy egg on top of the serving.
I can't wait to try this with the French onion dip!

You know that some frozen company is going to steal this idea and sell it, lol. Love this idea. May add some diced spam or ham to this. Delicious! TY!
