What you have here is nothing more or less than fettuccine Alfredo. Alfredo's restaurant wants 18 Euros, about 21 USD. The guy comes out and mixes it up tableside, and there's a big deal about exactly how his wrists move when he's tossing the noodles. Frankly, it strikes me as a lot of foolery.
Your dish is more honest and straightforward. For that reason alone, I would prefer it to Alfredo's fettuccine.

A good, quick dinner by itself when we're tired or in a time crunch, plus, egg noodles taste so much better than semolina pasta, imo. I can't imagine Beef Stroganoff without curly noodles.

Whenever I make this I make it with garlic butter. Just melted butter and minced garlic, then I will add in to the noodles with parmesan cheese and parsley. It's so good

I m glad you did this. I almost forgot about this dish! We loved it as kids. My mom would boil chicken, then add the noodles to the broth afterwards. Yum!
