Huge thank you to Culinary Backstreets: - Use Migrationology10 for a 10% discount on their amazing food tours. Levent Börekilik - This famous borek was started right here from this humble food stall and now has spread all over Turkey. Their borek is fantastic. Hacnn algam - One of the most famous beverages in Adana is a pickled fermented juice that includes carrots and beets. itah kebap 1950 - Next up, one of the most world famous Turkish foods of Adana are kebabs - called Adana Kebabs throughout Turkey. The lamb is loaded with seasoning and spices before being skewered and grilled. Tarihi ampiyon Ocakba Seyfo Usta - Adana is also known for their excellent liver kebabs, and they didn't disappoint! Mehur Bicici Abuzer Kadayf - In the afternoon, one of the great Turkish summer sweet snacks is bicibici, their version of a shaved ic. Mehur Ayranci - Additionally down the road you will find spicy ayran to wash it all down. No 12 Lokanta - Along with Gem who we hung out with today, he’s the co-owner of No 12 Lokanta, a Turkish restaurant serving classic home-style Adana dishes. Tatli Gonul Kardesler - Adana is also famous for sweets, so Ugur and I tried some local sweets in the evening. rdanc Naci Day - All the food I tried in Adana was fantastic, but if I had to pick one dish, it was the peculiar looking Shirdan - stuffed sheep abomasum with rice and lots of spices. All jokes aside, it was probably one of my favorite foods in all of Turkey. Adana has some of the best food in Turkey! I'm from Adana, and yep we are a little too passionate people even for Turkey standards lol. They took him some of best places but i don't agree a few place, it isn't only about meat rather equally about salads too. In Adana or eastern Turkey in general there would be at least three types of salads completely free and if they are plain you are in a lacking place. Good restaurants would care about their salads as much as meat, if it is full of spices, greens and sumak etc and you like it as much as meat then you can be sure that's a good restaurant. I've been living in western Turkey last few years, i really miss salads and mezes of Adana, you would order only a Kebab and feast on so many different tastes. Such a service doesn't happen in western Turkey sadly unless you pay a large bill ofc.

Hello Mark, I hope you are well, I enjoy watching you, you should try Bosnian burek, it is quite different from Turkish, I recommend you to try other traditional dishes from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

You can eat the best kebab in the world in Adana, and Mark must have realized this because he said it was the best kebab I've ever had, which is why kebab is called Adana in all cities except Adana.

I don't think I could bring myself to try some of the sheep parts, lol; but everything else looks fantastic! Adana was founded in 6000 B. C! It looks like a wonderful place to visit.

What makes Adana perfect for foodies is when you look at their faces, every chef is proud of what they are cooking/preparing no matter how simple the food/drink is.

I recommend you to go to Afyon, Trabzon and Erzurum as well. Hatay would also be perfect, but I don't know how much the city recovered after the earthquake.

You have to go every part of Turkey, cause every part have different kitchens, taste and culture. Try east side and north side of Turkey. Have fun.
