Planting Ornamental Grasses & Bulbs! Garden Answer Rebecca: Driving thru Oregon for the last two weeks, hubby and I decided to check out Ontario on our way to Idaho. Cute little town surrounded by many acres of farms. Located and stopped by Andrews Seed Company and we amazingly surprised to be blessed with the perfect timing as Laura and family were at the store! She is as gracious and friendly in person as on her videos! And so were her Mom and Dad! Great little store, so cute I could have shopped in there all day! Great seed collection and many fall plants. So many cute garden accents, bird feeders, fairy garden items, on and on! I limited myself to a few seed packets, a big container of her favourite weed spray, and a small leaf and flower press. (After watching her recent video of pressing leaves and flowers for gifts, how could I resist) Taking them all back with me to Sunny Florida! Thanks for talking with us today Laura. -Rebecca and Jeremy

Beautiful, you always inspire me to better my own garden. And you are always giving me so many ideas for flowers and ornamental grasses. I have a plan in my head and I think this winter I will sit down and draw what I hope my flower beds will look like next spring when I start to design it. Thank you so much Laura and Aaron, wonderful video as always.

Random question, but when planting bulbs, does it matter if the area where I'd like to plant bulbs is planted is full sun now? I live in a very wooded area and our sun changes throughout the season due to the trees filling in and the position of the sun. So, in the spring time it would be full sun but, not once the trees gain their leaves.

Hi there, do you have any tips on how to plant bulbs when you already have an existing bed of perennials? I would love to fill my garden with bulbs but digging the holes for the bulbs would damage my perennials! Ive researched for tips on this and cant seem to find any advice on this question.

I planted bulbs yesterday, here in my garden in Ontario, Can. Now, like you, I wait till Spring to see how it all turns out. There were already many tulips in this garden but no daffodils, so I've been adding Allium, Daffodils and Hyacinths and 5 tulips for my back garden. Thanks for sharing.

Would you address how you handle fading tulip displays? In southwestern Ohio, they don't tend to return very strong even after the first year. Do you dig up and start new each year, or just add to what's been there, pulling out non-blooming foliage in subsequent years?

Oh my word! I am so glad to hear hyacinth bulbs make your face itchy. A few weeks ago I was planting some along with a few other things and my face started itching and burning to the point where I had to stop working and go inside! I couldn't figure out what it was!
