Some buddies and I paddled our gear out to one of the islands in the middle of Lake Texoma and set up camp. Topwater striper season is just starting on the lake, which is one of a couple lakes in the country where the striper population is self-sustaining. They're actually a saltwater fish that swims up-river to spawn, but the striper on Texoma are able to reproduce naturally. They get HUGE, and hopefully as the season heats up I'll be able to get into some monsters.
