I love both you guys but I i don't understand you rationale for sets and production quality. I might not be typical of your average viewer but I believe I am. I watch yo, u for information, more than for entertainment. You both give sound advice and trustworthy, recommandations. You could do a power point presentation on cheap phone and I wouldn't care. I would still take in all tour content. linus tries to be funny and he kinda is, but rarely on purpose, Kile is legitimately a talented entertainer and funny as hell but even he doesn't require much in the way of sets, let alone cinematic, lighting and cameras. The other day You Tube's almighty algorithm, decided I needed to see (bitwit) Kiles's non tech vlogs while I was building a plane it droned on in the background and before I knew it I was enthralled, and watched him and his lovely wife, live their life backwards for like 12 hours on autoplay. all shot on a point and shoot with no set. While masterfully edited, i'm sure That was quality entertainment with no budget. As techtubers I know there is only so much you can do, to be creative but you twoo don't need to be. you have earned your spot as trusted sources of credible information.

The conversation you guys were having about how being an enthusiast should mean that the person is critical, I wouldn't really think of it as critical so much as discerning. The person is more attentive to details that other people don't realize that they actually care about. They have a more clear understanding of how design details that they view as positive or necessary in products translate into key parts of the experience of a product being positive for a larger group of people. I think enthusiasts are usually just more discerning because they take the time to get more information and look more into the details and specs of a product to make sure they are going to be happy. I don't think that is necessarily someone being critical. Maybe this point is pointless, but I like that you guys are discerning.

USA doesn't need spies anymore, it's enough to let Steve call the target (eg. country, politician, high rank military personel, ask politely if he can come visit and see their office setup, military server setup, maybe. interrogation lighting setup. If the country is a bit. resistive, then Steve can offer extreme laptop OC or maybe throw in an up to date interview with topics ranging from AMD vs Intel or AMD vs nVidia, maybe. AMD vs the target. No violence needed, basing on previous office tours, it has been proven, that the targets of infiltration mindlessly spill all their secrets to Steve ha ha ha

Whats funny about this video is I have the same issue. I run a Computer Shop. I have around 380 sq/ft office for working, photo studio, shipping, small ebay items, work benchs, etc, etc. Then we have a 400 sq. ft sales office. Both spaces are exact opposite. Work space is sooooo cluttered and messy! The sales office is so clean and presentable. Also, you get jaded by the industry. When you spend 30+ hours over the course of months on a build, then you immediately have to move on to something else. You dont even have time to enjoy it. This work and industry is difficult.

i'll be honest, the first thing that comes to mind when you receives new product to do a review or whatever is oh cool free stuff, but we viewers don't understand that what you guys went through to get to this point where companies would send products for you guys to review. Thanks for clearing it up atleast a little so us viewers don't discourage you guys from making new and better contents.

To deaden the sound just do a hanging ceiling with sound panels, leaving the gap for lights. Then use two standing panels behind the camera with sound panels. Problem solved. You don't need much to dampen it cause it catches the sound and just deaden it. With the two panels (movable) behind/ at the side of the camera you have the advantage of easily moving them when needed.

If a reviewer is overly critical in his reviews, but he's not wrong, that is not a bad thing. All that means is that the consumer has more information on which to base their decision. If the reviewer is overly critical about an area that you don't really care about, you don't have to care about their opinion in that area. This is the how all reviewers should operate.

so jay is using the extension cord to power the sockets, which in turn act as an extension box connected to another extension box. indian hostel students have been using this method for years, instead of the sockets we use full sized extension box. the real question is, is the circuit breaker and the extension box is rated to handle the load of the connected devices.

Amazing stuff thank you Steve! it's so good to see just what kind of things go into what you all have to do to bring the content for us and it truely is a heck of a lot of work! granted this might all be more related to much bigger production styles once your established but its just amazing seeing all the things that go behind the scenes. Great tour again.

14: 55 Jay, one thing about building storage by the wall to the bathroom, you may need to have a specific width for wheelchair accessability. Would hate for you to build everything, and then when it gets inspected they tell you you have to rip it out and fix it for handicap access. Some places say 30 to 48 inches.
