My question is what if we do not try to compansate the remaining daily calories by carbohyrates but increase amount of protein and fat? I started a high protein and fat diet and I become affraid of carbohydrates. For me Protein is structural, I'm highly convinced that fats are also structural (high in calories but I mean quality fats with Omega 3 and Antioxydants. They are part of cell membrane and our brain is highly composed of fats. Carbohyrates for me are empty foods with absolutely no nutritional value and can be compensated easily by what we take from proteins and fat. I discovered that even if you try to cut carbs to zero it is not possible! As vegetables unevidently contains also carbohyrates by nature (beans, patato, carots as they are sweet even milk is sweet! Or in social environment it is always possible to reach carbohyrates (Sugar proposed as greeting or ketchup containing sugar! I don't mention bread that is available in any circumstance) So finally as we can take so much carbs unintentionally can not we solely base our diet on proteins and high quality fats (avocado, fish, olive oil. Proteins make digestion a bit difficult so only in this case there can be exceptions to ease it until it becomes comfortable.

Ive been cutting for over a year and finally got down to a weight Im happy with and look good at. Now Im looking to lean bulk, then cut, lean bulk, cut. You know the deal. A personal trainer has advised me to lean bulk for 8 weeks, then eat at maintenance for 8 weeks, then cut for 8 weeks. Is this good? Or should I just lean bulk for 8 weeks then cut for 4 weeks or something, then repeat. Or something like lean bulk for 12 weeks cut for 6 repeat? Any help greatly appreciated

1-2lbs a week is 12-24lbs in 3 months (i. e. not a lean bulk. 2lbs a month is ideal. That way you wont need to go on a mini cut for at least 6 months (give yourself a period of 2 years to bulk ideally so you can pile on some serious muscle) and do mini cuts when you get to your max tolerable fat threshold (personal preference but around 15% body fat.

Im 175cm and 61 kg. I am somewhat muscular and toned and i go to the gym about 4 times a week. I want to put some weight. What is a goal weight to aim to look more muscular but lean too? Maybe 66-67 kg. I want something maintainable in the long run as im not into getting bigger and bigger, just to maintain at my goal. My diet is clean. Thanks

When I embark on a lean bulk, on the days I do HIIT cardio (30 min Peloton ride = 550 cal, should I be adding the exact amount of calories burned during that workout, to my calories consumed that day, in order to maintain the precise daily caloric surplus?

Cant be sound advice when the kid has always been skinny (fast metabolism. It's like a fat person working at a gym. Now if this kid shows pics of him having more than 8% body fat at any point in life, then maybe you can validate anything he says.

Is 2-3 months enough to gain significant amout of muscle? Especially for advanced lifter? I heard that it's generelly suggested to do AT LEAST 6 months of lean bulking and then 1-2 months moderate cutting.

Should we manipulate/increase surplus while bulking? Since you gain weight while bulking your maintence goes up, so shouldnt the amount of calories also be increased?
