This is a very well presented instructional video on dumbbell lunges, with multiple ways to approach it! Thanks for the tips and ill be sure to send this video to a couple people. I really like that you said at one point (paraphrasing) at the end of the day working out is about trying enough weird shit until you find something that works for you

Cruel and unusual punishment that I-ve done nothing to deserve. At 64 I-ll modify and reduce this workout. If I experience a bout of self loathing I-ll just grab a hammer and pound my fingers one at a time. Will probably hurt less than this workout and I-ll be done with it in a minute vs the time it take to do the 300+ reps suggested here.

Side tip: Balance is a huge part of these exercises. After a couple of weeks you-ll think you-re getting stronger. You-re not. Your body will find its balance. You-ll struggle less performing the movements and thus use less energy. You-ll be able to lift more weight.
Great content Ryan! Thank you for every vid you post.

I just can-t get those glute squats to work. It-s so frustrating. I keep watching the video and trying to do exactly what he says (shift those hips back) but whenever I come up the whole lift is going into my quads and I can-t get the lift to come from the glutes no matter how much I shift my hips

You skipped dumbbell goblet squats. seriously dude, done with a heavy dumbbell they are similar to a very strict front barbell squat only much harder. Some of us have bad knees which makes lunge movements impossible, but my knees never have a problem with goblet squats.

Well I did it. And Im so stoked about it. Felt great. Just starting this workout I could only manage 2 sets of some of them. And this was after 6 sets of squats so I was really hating it. But loving it at the same time. Thanks for the tips.

I must say, my form must be shit AND i have not been maximizing my workouts. I'm no where near athletic or as big as you are and i have been using 25's, 35's and 45's. I'm going to humble myself get lighter sets and try these workouts

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks for a second that you can build muscle in your legs/hips using dumbbells light enough to hold in your hands (even with straps) then you must have less than 3 months training experience. probably three days.

I am doing this workout for about 6 months and every time is as painfull as the other and more. i cant walk for four days. Thank you a lot Ryan. Your workouts change my hole workout perspective and my body (for the better.

You, sir, are a #%-ing -$#---! And I love you for it!
I did your bastard variation of the split squat, already my favorite exercise I love to hate, and they hurt me - hurt me sooo good!
So thank you. dick.
