Want bigger legs? I know I did for years and it wasn't until I really started to push myself in the gym and see how hard I could train until they really started to grow

Laughed a bit at the start about being too tired to train legs later in day without preworkout. Just thinking off all the bodybuilders (national champs, Mr universe top5) I knew that worked or football players and trained after work, class/practices. Heck, I've know dozen and dozens of construction workers that would train for bodybuilding contests after putting in a hard day work. I get it's not optimum but working physically demanding jobs and training has been quite common for decades, so this sounded a bit millenialish. ---
But loved the video.
Fascinated by the hip thrust machine which looks more civilized than the barbell version and never saw that kind of attachment on the legendary sissy squat stand. I feel like the first time I saw a belt squat and did that ScoobyDoo noise.

Apart from the 'do [leg day] in the morning, I totally agree - I try to get my training in first thing of the day, but legs? I try to work my way around so that I do it either when it's Friday afternoon or weekend when doing them, because I'm no use to anyone after a leg workout.
I do have one thing I take away from this: not doing regular squats. Thank you dear sir, because that is the one exercise I really, really hate, and I got the impression I need it for growth.
Now, if anyone could just tell me I don't have to do deadlifts either, then it would be a joy to go to the gym.

So, I have a combat related issue that makes me hyper vigilant at all times and I workout at around 8pm every night to train and exhaust my muscles so that I can sleep. That early morning shit stops after you have been a Drill Sergeant and your daily wake up is at 3am. I overall like your advice but people are very different and your lifestyle dictates when you can make it to the gym. So if you make it to the gym at 3am or 12pm or 8pm just do you and get it in

I love this! So when I do seated calves, I have this cramping sensation in the back of my left knee. It feels super tight and I almost have to grab it to stabilize it. I was watching your stretching videos and began thinking that maybe it-s due to some tightness in my hamstrings. I went to an orthopedic and they chalked it up to a Baker-s Cyst without even examining it. Have you heard of any reasons to why this may occur from seated calves?

I think the earliest I've ever been to the gym in 20 years is 11am. morning workouts are terrible. ur body takes hours to fully wake up to 100. I always shake my head at the guy that say they go at 4am or before work. couldn't pay me. plus his do u exoact to get a good workout when ur body and mind is litterally still half asleep. science

Sorry bro totally disagree with you on this point. I-m a late evening trainer as was a lot of pros such as Jay Cutler, and others, there is no such rule that says that
You have to train mornings or afternoon. People work for a living, It-s up to each individual own system. And what works for you.

What Ryan said about not feeling any connection with squats is so true. They are really hard work for me for sure but I don't know what I'm working. Just feels tough. That one comment he made really changed the way I see leg training. Thank you Ryan.

I must say looking at your videos u tell the truth about how u train your muscles to grow with high intensity because it doesn-t matter as long as you get it done and it burns and u are right about people looking at u strange keep the videos coming.

Interesting, I get better workouts in the late afternoon or evening. I find my coordinator and strength better late day or night. Morning I'm way too busy with other things in life and I just don't function well in the morning for training.

I like how you film these videos actually DURING your workout. You're speaking and having a hard time breathing and sweating your balls off. Shows me how I need to be after each set. You kick your own ass and inspire me to kick mine.
