grew up racing motocross, blew left wrist apart, dislocated right shoulder twice and left shoulder once. after years of PT i still have a lot of issues doing most if not all upper body push workouts (pull has never been an issue) mainly anything shoulder workouts and chest. i have to use super light weight in order to train a lot of the times without pain, popping or general fear of hurting myself. do you have any advice i feel like I'm stuck and any sort of surgery would just create super low range of motion which i can't afford? 6'00- 160 pounds, 20 yrs old and shoulders can barely handle 10lb delt fly's

The man that taught majority of what I know in the gym had Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease that mistakenly attacks your own body, his name is Tom DeClue one of the greatest men I know, he was a bodybuilder despite his disease, And he took in atleast 20 of us kids on the football team and paid for our gym memberships and taught us proper form and nutrition solely because he seen we had the drive and determination to do so. If he can do all that with a body eating disease, then we can wake up everyday and hurt ourselves no problem

Insulation exercises dont make you grow much bro, you need to INCREASE the weight the more weight the more the muscle grow as simple as that. Basic excercises and the best as you can use more weight with propper form slow feeling full extension and full contraction so not to bounce or involve other muscles and the heavy weight you couls also increase your testosterone production, also concentrate in triceps and those muscle are the bigest in the arms.

Brilliant advise Ryan! I'm almost 60 years old and still workout every day. I believe the principles you've outlined can be applied to any muscle group. I watched the video this morning and applied these techniques to my back workout. Fantastic! Keep the great videos coming. Remember to train like you're the Taco Bell employee who has to tell Rosie O'Donnell -I'm sorry sir, we just ran out of Nachos Bellgrande. -

Can someone explain how I'm supposed to do this. I presume he's not counting non direct arm work such as pull ups, Ohp ect. So if I do an arm day twice a week that's 8 sets of 20 reps per muscle. How do I pick the weight, if I can do the last set of 20 then the weight would be way too light for the first sets. Drop sets maby? Also can I super set so I'm not in the gym for hours?

I-m 33yrs old, USMC combat vet, double above knee amputee. I can honestly say after watching your videos, and I bought the garage series and combined all that in my routine I can see the gains. I gain more in the past year then have in the past 18-20yrs. Also like the how you get to the point, and raw sense humor. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

He's got a good point, about rest. I'll be at the gym and I'll see so many people taking two to five minutes for rest.
I like to keep a brisk pace. 30 to 60 seconds rest max.
I like to build up that lactic acid, push thru that soreness and keep the muscles hot!
When I take crazy long breaks, I cool off and it just breaks it up to a boring workout.

I-m terrible with mind muscle connection, I performed the movement and hope the muscle is contracting. I try to put my arms in positions where is can only use that muscle. Muscles burn like hell afterwards, but I do not know how to force a muscle contraction. I flex my bicep, I typically flex my whole arm right along with it.

The issue I have isn't the pain, rather after 15 repetitions I am breathless, and my fingers are so weak that I can't even hold the dumbbells. How do you get energies to lift heavier weights or not even that, how do you get more energies to do more repetitions? THAT 's the dilemma.
