Been training on and off for like 16 years and the thing I neglected most was my back. My back work out consisted of just doing Deadlift and barbell row and I realised I wasn-t even doing them properly. Focusing more on how much I could lift rather then what I could feel. One day I realised F-ck what people think and being insecure and decided to go right back to basics starting from light weight and just working on form and what a difference it makes. It-s only taking me 16 years. It-s frustrating trying to hit from different angles to find that connection. Patience and concentration does pay off. I was doing lifts on my back using isolation exercises looking for that connection with very light weight and getting that squeeze and my lats feel more worked then they have ever been.

I'm glad I found this video. I'm 41, and I have thoracic disk damage & arthritis. The results of years spent in the Army and heavy body armor for long periods of time. It's not nearly as bad as I understand Lumbar disc issues can be, as my ribs hold the thoracic area more still, but none the less, when I go particularly heavy, I feel PAIN. I also had a hip injury, and a shoulder injury. It adds up. Now I try staying in shape, but there is so much information out there saying -YoU gOt To LiFt TeH HEEEVY WEEEIGHT 2 mAkE tEh GANES-. Sure, that's great if you haven't been through the meat grinder. Pull ups are ok, but things like bent over rows and deadlifts & squats I have to keep fairly light. I can get a hell of a pump with 25 - 50 pound dumbbells.

Ryan I use a lot of your vids when at the gym, THE FORUM SALISBURY NC, but now that everything is closed I am working out at home with what little weights I have, about 200lbs free weights. I am using a lot of dumbell stuff and wanted to say THANK YOU for your vids especially now, still getting good workouts even with what out to I have here at the house because of your vids. STAY STRONG!

If you use (INTENTIONS) which is basically the direction of force YOU create, then a bar pullover can AFFECT
1: LATS = BY PULLING THE BAR APART
2. PECS = SQUEEZING BAR TOGETHER
3. TRICEPS = CONCENTRATE ON EXTENDING AT THE ELBOW
Three of my clients each felt pullovers in one of those 3 areas. Took a couple of head scratching minutes til I figured that one out lol.

Loved this vid man. Granted my back is my strong point I loved switching things up and exactly like you said after you are experienced it's about making 20lbs feel like 70s. I noticed doing the dbell pullovers on the slightest incline and also 1 arm at a time felt the best for me personally. Had a fantastic connection and stretch with those that I haven't felt in very long time.

Ryan, I love your videos. Quick straight to the point, and loaded with info that is useful. Not to mention, thank you for keeping your shirt on. -
I have a request. When I'm not able to go to the gym I use resistance bands. I've seen videos on working out with bands, but I'd really benefit from your take and suggestions on bands. You could start with a band leg workout. -

-Moving to a smaller home where I won-t have room for a large dumbbell rack anymore. Replaced the whole rack with this adjustable set. The handle diameter is a little bigger than my old dumbbells --bestgym. equipment-- - I only really notice it when I do farmers walks with heavy weight. I do not have the stand but am considering that for the future. These work as expected. -

Ryan, you've got that -in the cross-hairs. - Making 20 feel like 40. Most importantly, is, that you don't
want to come up injured. What you state here is right. Work the angles as well and CONCENTRATE.
I've been at it purely as a way of life for health, strength and fitness. Ready? For 58 years! !! Right,
started as a freshman in H. S. Rock on.

I tried this yesterday and thought I felt an alright connection to my lats, but today I don't feel any different in my lats but the long heads of my triceps are the sore as hell! I think I messed up the form but I already do isolation work with me tri's and they never get this sore so I guess I accidentally found a killer tri exercise for myself!

I subd when when around 350k. I don't know how far he will be able to take it but, the knowledge and the straight forwardness is excellent. Definitely he'll be a multiple million subs in a not distant future. Me, I want the edge so, I'm not sharing. This is to good to give away. sorry! Bet there are many of us keeping these videos to ourselves.
