I saw this girl doing leg presses the other day and she was pushing with her hands on her knees to make the lift easier. Like, I don't mean just a little bit at the end just so you can get the weight up at all, but the entire time. It just seemed so pointless what she was doing. I'm not one to judge people, even though I'm doing it right now, but man you see people doing some dumb shit at the gym. This was a minor one in the scheme of things, but still dumb. The fact is though, when you're the guy in the gym that's absolutely ripped like our man kratos here, you could be pinching weights together with your butt cheeks and look like you know what you're doing. I have worked partial reps into my routine, much to the chagrin of my muscles, and I always think people are looking at me thinking I have no clue what I'm doing. I think that less and less though because I'm putting on muscle and gaining strength faster than I ever have(and I'm 40 now) since I've started modeling my training more after this man's. It sure is keeping me motivated to keep going back and torturing myself.

I would just like to Testify to the fact that this guy knows what he's talking about. I've been training for quite some time, have even trained a lot of people, and gotten pretty good results. Today though I did some of these variations, and holy cow, I don't think I've ever felt a pump like that in my legs! You known you've done something right when you have to pull yourself up the staircase with the railing. Thank you Ryan!

I wish I had found this sooner. I suck at squats, but I discovered I could push heavy weight on leg press. Well I got curious about how much I could leg press, and added weight until I could only do 2 reps. I ended up letting my legs come down too far on my chest and separated the costal cartilage from a few of my lower ribs. It-s not fun having to force yourself not to sneeze for a couple weeks while it heals.

Any time you might consider some calf anything? You looked as if you skipped calf day every day, week and month. Don't worry couldn't possibly hate with 19- calves myself, just add more size and get back to 22- calves. 30 reps for each leg exercise and try 101 reps total. Start at 7 reps and climb up to 15 reps. Go up or down either way but its about the best ladder climb ever!

Just did leg press w lower weight than usual 15ish reps x 5 w/o locking out close foot stance for quads and am doing the same thing with low back squats and I can only do 95 lbs narrow stance for that 15 to 20 rep range and my legs are about to explode!
Totally different experience than doing the usual 315ish for 8 to 10 or even heavier for 5isb reps

Why does it feel like karma when I lower the weight and bring my knees closer to my chest that my tailbone and lower torso wants to roll 4 upwards and forwards to follow my legs? Is there some kind of stretch I can do to increase that mobility to not incorporate my lower back as much cause I know that's probably terrible

The -ego lift- you describe is exactly like Eddie Hall (2017 worlds strongest man) and Ronnie Colman (8 year in a row mr Olympia) where they rep over 1000kg. So useless it made Eddie Hall black out, but according to you he just fell asleep to his useless workout lmao

you are not doing lany size work with those girl size weights you are pressing with your legs. hahahaha. you are a fake lifter. steroids must be your friend. there is no possible way you are getting any size growth with the little girl weights you are using.

What about hamstrings and lats when all you have is a squat rack, bench and some rage bands. These are two workouts I know I am wasting my time. 35 to 40 sets. Not sore. My hands get blown up but I can't seem to push burn into hams and lats.

ive never been on a leg press that didnt hurt my knees. ive tried every foot position. no matter what i get sharp pains. but i have no problem doing barbell squat or asian squat. just not on the smith machine. that also gives me sharp pains.
