I thought I had to look perfect if I was going to be a group x instructor. When I became a POP Pilates instructor, I thought my classes had to be perfect. I was devastated when I messed up big time in my evaluation video and was surprised when I was passed anyway. Everyone told me it didn't matter that I had messed up. What mattered was how I dealt with the mistake. I kept that in mind when I started teaching and that was super important because I made lots of little mistakes in the beginning. So long as I went with it and pretended like nothing was wrong, my students didn't know and didn't care. I've really learned this lesson through experience - perfection doesn't matter. Just do the best you can and go with what's thrown at you. My Spotify playlist decided it was going to shuffle through the list and I was so tired that I didn't realize the warm-up song was actually the song for The Hundreds. :O OMG! But I went with it and made it work. Aaaaand then I went and fixed the shuffle problem. ;) hehehe Also, my body isn't perfect but I went for the cert anyway. I'm overweight with lots of jiggles and extra fat. There are times I can't finish the track I'm teaching without taking a break or using a modification (especially with the Upper Body track. Have these things deterred people from coming to my classes? No. In fact, my numbers are increasing. And I let my whole class know when I had gained enough strength to complete something such as the Tricep Kick 'n Dips or Shoulder Taps in full plank. I was excited for myself and my progress and I wanted them to know that if I could progress then so could they.
Imperfection can be much more motivating than perfection. ;)
I love you for this message, Cassey!

Actually i used to always act like i dont care what people say or what they think of me but i realised that i did care and this video really inspired me to be happy just the way i am, my stomach doesnt have to be flat and my thighs dont have to be skinny. Perfection doesnt even exist and we should all be confident and happy with our bodies because maybe the people who judge you are just not the right people you should be hanging out with and we should all remember that we do everything to please ourselves and not anyone else and always remember that beauty fades away and its all about being happy, confident and thankful and all what matters is you from the inside because i really know a lot of people who dont have perfect bodies and they're not really good looking but they have people who appreciate their existence because they're beautiful on the inside and i actually know someone who's very pretty and no one likes her because she has a terrible personality. Stay beautiful: )

To think:
Thinking is one of the strongest power in the universe - I believe and heres why
1. Think your mind is a program. U can change a program but only u can. If you think negatively U WILL BE NEGATIVE! Ur body language thinking EVERYTHING even how u see the world will be negative
If you think positively. U will see everything differently.
Try this out. I used to be depressed and I had depression and wanted to die for no reason. And then when browsing in d internet I saw a quote and a video about mindfulness. It said smthin like If only you knew how strong your mindset is.
Try it out. I promise it helped me with my depression and now Im like happy a little. Say what your thankful about before sleep. Try it. And you might think like: omg everyone says thing. Blah blah blah. But its tru of wat they say. Think positively. Love you all! Ur all unique and amazing!

Hi Cassey! I love your videos, and I really admire how you take the time to talk about the importance of self-love and accepting our different body types. This video is amazing, but I noticed that there were moments where the captions where a little off. For example in the min 2: 22 the captions read just land the ecology chips all day, and you are actually talking about laying on the couch eating chips all day. There are similar, tiny mistakes in min 1: 14, 2: 36, 2: 45, 2: 49, 2: 51, 2: 54, 4: 15, 4: 32, 5: 20, 6: 36, 7: 03, 7: 24, 7: 48, and 8: 06. It would be great if you could look into that. You are sharing an amazing message and everyone should have an equal opportunity to enjoy and understand it.

Man, I hate how I hit almost every point you mention. I struggle with this some days, and other days it's easier. It also helps when my husband is kind of the opposite of me and can go with the flow (and knows how to say no. I try to learn from him but listening to you talk about is just such a great reminder. Thanks for all you do Cassey! Keep rocking it
Idk if you've ever seen the movie Meet the Robinsons it's all about growing from your mistakes and learning how to embrace them in a way. Very deep meaning behind a kids movie, lol. I love it! Their tag line = Keep Moving Forward.

I've been told many times to stop being focused on others in general and prioritize my happiness. I really didn't conceive it, I used to fear selfishness this way but now that hate struck me because I was deeply in love with someone who doesn't care at all and keep on hurting me during months and months using my feelings in some ways, I totally think I MUST let go. To care a lot for others until you forget about yourself and losing it, it's definitively WRONG, especially if you just receive disregard and pain in return.

I definitely loved this video! I have been a perfectionist for as long as I can remember, but have been working on reducing the stress that it causes me for the past few years. My favourite thing to do is to remember that there is no such thing as perfect so why strive for something that doesn't really exist. I do have anxiety when it comes to being wrong, but I have slowly been able to realize that it's not the end of the world to not know something.

LOVE THESE videos. They seem so genuine to me and motivating. I've been struggling because of many things past months but they're not fitness related anyway, I love to excercise regularly. I know you're a fitness person but I'd appreciate if you do these videos even more in general, or touch different topics. not so related to excercising and weight loss etc. :) Just my humble opinion. I believe you're inspirational in sooo many ways.

I think the most important thing is that you try to achieve your goals to the best of your abilities and that's something that has taken me a long time to understand. Thanks for this inspirational video! Also Cassey, I saw that the Beverly Bow Tie gym bag is back in stock on ogorgeous and I'm wondering if there's any chance that the Pleated Pocket Carry All gym bag will ever make a comeback? I would absolutely LOVE to get my hands on one!

Thanks Cassey, seriously. It's like 3 in the morning and I've been awake just thinking about life and worrying about failing in my major. And even though it's not workout related, this video did help me relax and give me some motivation for what's to come. Thanks for reminding me it's okay to fail and that failing sometimes is just part of human nature, definitely gonna come back to this whenever I need it _ Cheers!
