You guys, there is something I need to get off of my chest. I am SICK of having my body define who I am. Those of you who have been with me the last ten years know that I have not always been a skinny fitness instructor. When I first started teaching online, I was the inspiring and body positive fat instructor. Now that I have achieved my own personal fitness goal, you know, practiced what I preached, I have somehow turned into a fat shaming and irresponsible skinny instructor. How does that even make sense! I am literally the exact same person teaching the exact same things! I mean, my number one goal over the years has always been to help YOU reach YOUR goals. What kind of an example would I be setting if I didn't reach my own goals? This culture of body shaming has to stop. We are all people just trying our best to feel good about ourselves. No matter my size, I am just the same Cassey who only wants the best for you

This is why there is a special place in hell for women who hurt other women. Cassey, thank you for that very honest, very brutal, very real account of your journey with fitness. I had NO idea that you experienced that type of bullying in school at such a young age. I did not know a lot of what you shared, but I do understand and emphasize with your frustration and pain. Women tend to judge other women so harshly. I don't know if it is because many women, myself included, judge ourselves so hard or what. I do know it's not right, and it's outrages me that the world can be such a cruel place. I have peace and joy and so much more thanks to you being that very GOOD INSTRUCTOR! Cassey, you are the BEST instructor I've ever had! I've been with you on this #Blogilates #PopPilates ride for YEARS, and I am SO proud of everything you've accomplished. You have made me believe in myself again. You have helped me become the best version of myself, both mentally AND physically! You taught me to LOVE working out so much, I freak out when I can't! I also have an unhealthy value associated with my worth. Mine is more the opposite of yours. But the pain and hurt are just as real and ache just as much. I hate feeling like that! That's one of the greatest things about working out for me is that it makes my mind so much clearer. I've gained strength not just in my body, but I've grown stronger in every way since I started doing YOUR workouts! So please know that there are probably many other women that feel the way I do and love you for YOU and nothing else! Thank you again so much for sharing such painful memories. And just know, you can always sit with me if you want to! Big hug and tons of love to you! Happy Holidays, Cassey! #blogilates xoxoJJ

I know that I am late to this, but I just want to say something as a reminder. OUR BODIES DO NOT DEFINE US! Yes us woman do have fat, and we get big thighs. So what? Don't comment on our bodies when you don't know the real struggle (toward the haters sorry I wasn't clear. It's so sad how us woman can't go out confidently with an outfit that shows our stomach or exposes our thighs and without our negative mindset telling us that why do I look so fat? or even when showing too much and people saying you're too skinny, eat something. These haters have to realize that it is hard when our society has a preference for people with a big butt and people with big stomachs. Every body is absolutely beautiful, and just never comment something bad about someones body because that is considered body shaming! We are just taking care of our bodies confidently and that is all that matters. Cassey is obviously being a great influencer to everyone and she has been an amazing influence to me too! :)

Dear Cassey, i never thought your workouts were for body positive people. They were so inspiring because only your workouts made me make it through the end, do it till the completion and have faith in myself.
I'm glad I found your workouts in 2012 and I'm glad I'm still doing them and you're here with us and with me.
You are great person, kind, strong, ethernally resilient and charming, you are a great leader and a wonderful girl. You are example of what a girl should do/aim for in her life when it comes to her connection with body and workout.
I wish you have pleasant years ahead, kids, if you plan them, and adventures and happiness for as much as you shared with this world.
Good luck with your PJT in Target!
We love you!

I'm here from Gregs video.
You did a very good job with your 90 day experiment.
The thing with the HAES/BoPo community is that most of the people there feel powerless to change. It costs energy/willpower to lose weigt, you need to 'sacrifice' calories and/or time to move more, cook more etc. Many of the people there feel like they can't do it or that they tried everything, save of course changing their habits. So they reflect their feeling about themselves and their bodies on others or they want that everyone is like them. That's not body positive. That's delusional.
You do you, do whatever makes you happy and if these mean comments come in show them either compassion or pity. It's not about you, it's about them. :)

Cassey, girl, you have been and always will be an AMAZING instructor no matter what! Listen, the haters are just gonna keep hating because their hurting themselves/hate themselves. Personally, I am SO inspired by your fitness journey and it encourages me to create my own goals to achieve! It is undoubtedly clear that setting aside those negative thoughts and pursuing your goals in order to do the very best for your body HAS YOU GLOWING.
KEEP DOING IT! If not for anyone, then for me, only one fan in the sea of so many others! So inspired by you! ALWAYS look forward to working out with you! You're an amazing instructor and it is a pure JOY to be led by your workouts and witness your journey!

Thank you Cassey for sharing and being vulnerable. Can we all take a moment and reflect on where this negativity and criticism comes from? It doesn't originate in a vacuum. Let's explore why people (men or women or other) feel like it's ok to say hurtful things to others. It's not just oh, women are catty or, trolls will be trolls. While we've come a long way over the years, the fact of the matter is that we don't really grow up seeing inclusive and diverse standards of beauty. For a long time the beauty ideal has been very thin, and let's face it, white. So let's push to celebrate all kinds of bodies and support each other's journeys.

I think it was around 5 years ago I found Cassey on yt. I always had bellyfat and similar body shape than her (just with more belly. I liked (still like her of course) her so much i did just her video didn't even watch any others. I dont care that you lost weight as long as you happy. I just hope that if Cassey gains weight bc of whatever circumstances she still able to love herself and be happy. Its normal to have body fat esp. as a women also as fitness instructor. I know she knows but these damn western beauty standards are reddiculous (english is mot my mother tongue)

Cassey I want to say you changed my life. I grew up with the wrong assumption that I was fat. No one told me this I just believed it. When I came across your workouts several years ago, I actually realized I was battling myself. I hated how I looked and there was a lot of toxic stuff floating around my head. Since then by the grace of God Ive stopped thinking that way. The reason I love your workouts is because they made/make me strong! Not only physically but mentally too. Youre such a real person which is why I personally believe in you. Youre awesome

You are beautiful dont let anyone bring you down your not to fat your not too skinny youe perfect. No one deserves someone telling them that there not good enough. When someone brings you down i want you to look at yourself without thinking about thst persons comment and tell yourself im beautiful say it again. Love yourself if you cant love yourself and your unhappy then you can change for yourself. Dont change for otger people. Love yourself stay safe and love everyone around you and overall just be kind.
