When traveling there are a few things that we should always be aware of. Some things we don't even notice ourselves, like how loud our voice gets, while other things can help keep us out of unwanted situations, like being aware of our surroundings. Here are five things that travelers, vacationers and tourists should be aware of when they travel

Before we travel anywhere, besides Walters World videos, I always look for videos created by locals or recent tourist vlogs. Our last trip involved a layover in Instanbul, so I looked for videos that showed the airport so we could navigate it more easily. While looking at the airport layout, I also payed attention to how people were dressed and their behavior, how loud they were talking to each other, and the languages spoken. Lots of people post their travel videos, so its easy to discern what to wear and how to behave so your presence doesnt scream American as soon as you enter a room.

Well, I am a quiet person to begin with and not worried about the loud thing. My question for YOU, a very likeable guy, have Europeans been unkind once they find out you are American? Do they hold you responsible for every negative thing they hear in the media? Personally, I can imagine them doing it to you. I think you and your family act as wonderful ambassadors where ever you go. Me, I am quiet and don't approach strangers and sometimes balk at being approached.

Suggestion here, talk a bit slower. You probably don't realise you're talking fast, but it is typical of American's - no rudeness intended. Secondly, not all your viewers are from the US. As I think you're seeing, many are European, British, or in my case, Australian.
Other than this, your series is very good; I'm seeing some good tips for when I finally get to go long-distance overseas. :-)

Hi friends, i went to a month vacation in the Netherlands and what i did is i made a colored copy of my passport, and on the back of it i put my mom's phone number, hotel number and my sister number. Do you think that just by having the passport copy is good and safe enough for a tour in the city? I'm ver concerned of losing my real passport which could get me in a lot of trouble.

Great point that some safes aren't thief proof. I left my passport in a hostel locker in Porto, because I was going out to have some beers, and that night a thief went around to multiple hostels, checked-in at each place, and broke into hostel lockers all over the city. Now, I'll leave my passport in a good digital safe, but will carry it with me in a hostel situation.

Awesome advice! Still loving your videos! We made it back from our Europe tour with 60 high school students this past summer and no one lost a passport or was pickpocketed! I can't believe it lol! Absolutely amazing tour. Headed to Scandinavia and Russia this summer just my husband and I - will have to check out your videos on those places as we have never been.

Nice video with some good tips/advises for travelers. We hope that you enjoyed Krakow, the weather looks lovely. We were there during Easter (March) a few years back and it was so cold that it took some of the enjoyment from our visit. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and we wish you a good week ahead. Best Regards from Maxi and Maro in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I typically enjoy your videos, but this one was a bit disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the tips are useful. It's just that I misread the title as reading 5 Things Time Travelers Should ALWAYS Be Aware Of. I was looking forward to handy time traveling tips and totally got my Science Fiction geek on and then had my hopes dashed. :(

They should be aware that getting drunk and being disruptive in public (and/or acting ignorant) is NOT exeptable in most other countries.
The world is NOT a playground or bar for them to immaturity party or act disrespectful in!
