to sum it all up, for me, the explorer wins easily.
i must have RWD. the base engine is far better with MPGs than all others AND the korean twins actually have real-world lower mpg.
i need to feel some fun and want to drive. not a big fan of the bling and tempting near-luxury of the competition since this is EXACTLY what looks bad 50K miles down the road.

i guess, the third row these days for me is needless, so perhaps the smaller atlas sport or 2row pilot would be my other options as the edge is pretty old.

Would have loved to pick this up but I wasn't impressed with the total package.
Interior is boring and isn't the discount Audi feel from old VW.
The seats were not that comfortable except the top end trim. (Pleather until top end trim)
No 8 passenger
Drove a bit big with average ride
The 6 cylinder felt anemic and course.
Dollar for dollar the Hyundai and Kia felt a lot higher quality and better features. Just a slightly tighter package.
