not all dodge products are junk yes any kind of car or truck you can get will have problems i have a 2002 toyota camry that after 3 years of owning it and keeping up with repairs the transmission went out on it and the bad part was i only put 40, 000 miles on it before it gave me problems my 2010 dodge journey i bought used and since i know about cars i looked it over real good and told the dealership what was all wrong with it and they lowered the price so i was able to get it fixed and my dodge journey had 88, 000 miles on it when i bought it now it has 161, 000 miles and running good my toyota camry i put 5, 000 of work in it before it stopped running and my dodge i put 3, 500 in repairs so it does not matter what you buy just goes back to who owned it before you and took care of it because my toyota camry was owned by 3 different people before i bought it and my dodge journey was a one owner i am the second owner of my dodge journey and i have always keep up with repairs when it needs it

Feel the need to comment. Im thinking about buying a new truck. My current truck is a 2WD 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 5. 7. 65k mostly highway miles. Hasnt been any trouble, maybe Ive babied it. But Ive used it. Hauled many loads of mulch for mom. Added SuperSprings, no sag. Towed a mastercraft more than a few times. Well maintained, oil changes every 5k, trans fluid change at 60k, just changed spark plugs and coolant flush, and water pump as preventative maintenance. Replaced sway bar links not long ago because they started clunking. Its an old school pickup, no tech. Been a good pickup. I want 15k or Im just going to keep it and Ill have two trucks. New truck Im looking at is a Ford F-250. Scotty is awesome, and this isnt a disagreement. Hes got more experience than me. Im just saying my Dodge Ram has been a good one.

1: 10 1990-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins engine, Manual trans, Those things are indestructible, Scotty is talking about the ones with auto transmissions. And to Scotty: For Christ sake Ive owned two RAMS from 1990-2002, and they were all EXTREMELY RELIABLE. My current 02 2500 5-speed nv4500, NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT ASIDE FROM MAINTENANCE ON ANY 300, 000 MILE TRUCK I paid 10, 000 for it in 2005, it had 56, 000 miles. It has aftermarket exhuast from banks, and the fuel pump was turned up. Dont turn up the fuel pump, the Nv4500 wont take it, unless youre very gentle with acceleration. I get about 19mpg city 21 hwy. makes a good daily.

I'd be surprised if Chrysler make their own airbags. Such things, like most car components, are typically bought from suppliers, usually off the shelf. Think back on how many car makers were caught up in the Takata airbag recall some years ago. Most care makers were affected in that because they used Takata airbags, and most cars were scrapped for old age before they ever got around to replacing the faulty bags. Fiat makes sure Chrysler builds rubbish, but in this instance it may not be their fault.

FYI ALL manufactures have recalls, yes even Toyota. Remember the Tundras and Tacomas with frames that would rust in half? Ill take a faulty airbag over that any day. And Dodge Rams are not all junk. My 2001 1500 has 385k on original motor and transmission, still going strong. The Ford F-150 with the 5. 4 V8 are the ones to avoid because the engines have been known to self destruct and spit out spark plugs. Ecoboosts have turbo failures. Ill stick with my old reliable Dodge Ram.

You can knock them all you want i run f250 f350 ram 2500 and 3500 350k 560k 160k 245k we have a Toyota full size and it had to go to the shop because it had sensors in the fender well that corroded and made the truck miss so your Toyota is good but they have shitty parts as well like the videos but I will put my Billy goat up against any of your trucks that Cummins never quits pulling

Scotty u make at least a couple million bucks a year from YouTube why are u still so cheap I mean your getting old you cant take the money with you when u die why not enjoy it hell buy your wife her dream house and car take vacations with her and if you have kids buy them all houses and cars and give them some money a nest egg so when u die you will have no regrets

My last four trucks i bought have been Dodge Rams before that i drove Ford, never again the Ford was costing me to much money always breaking down seems like. the Rams have been dependable trucks never had transmission problems engines been great I do my maintenance. I'm a Farmer so i work my trucks hard. I will never buy Ford trucks ever again I will stay with Rams.

I don't think your claim of independence is entirely correct, Sir Scotty. All that rave and hype about Toyota makes me think, Toyota pays you in one way or the other. Thing with Toyota is: at the mid-2000's overall quality at Toyota went down substantially. The best Toyotas were built in the 90's, no technical issues whatsoever, which left rust to be the only issue.
