What? Reporters and law officers shown as corrupt? How could they do that? Said no-one ever. I don't believe any of these people slamming the movie for showing corruption can be real accounts. The average citizen is very well aware that they are being lied to, right? That the people meant to protect them are actually just there to hinder them. Who in the current year, really thinks cops protect people rather than just being bodyguards to a government that views us as cattle. Reporters have been famously the biggest liars in recenty years, with the rise of clickbait even hitting physical papers. They champion the idea of propaganda and wear it like a badge of honor that they no longer give us the news. This is the modern world, and where the culture has taken us. We can only trust each other. And Phil, we can trust Phil. Also all those people that like to chant Trump is our president And real Americans support their president like a bunch of dogs. I just look forward to the backlash. To hear the new chants of Trump is not our president and hear them reeee. How does it feel to now be known as someone that openly supported a man that abused his power and harmed your home country? You're practically a traitor, an America hater, if you supported Trump all through out this. The shaming will be so deserved. I can't wait for Trump to finally get arrested after losing his position.

Glad they're standing by their movie. The media is corrupt and they do sensationalize to get the headlines. They make money at the expense of scaring their readers with misleading info. Ironic how they are complaining about it now. Pathetic, but ironic none-the-less. Hopefully this movie is good. Regarding the impeachment proceedings, sounds like the democrats are so rushed to get this done before the elections that they're gonna trip over their own feet and he'll be found innocent. He'll be found innocent and he will MARKET that shit as him being fully vindicated & innocent and he'll get elected in 2020 - guaranteed if he isn't found guilty. Seems like a risky move to me, but whatever, it's their play. EDIT: Maybe I'm misunderstanding something about the FBI story, but it sounds like what you're saying is that people investigating have biases? Because if that's the case: Of course. Otherwise if there was more to it I had trouble following, but at this point I'm so detuned to all this crap, just want it to be over.

I am left leaning and though I do not agree with misrepresenting an actual woman as a person who slept her way to success. Richard Jewell was a real person too. It is a true story which is relevant today and I have a feeling that journalist media wants to bury it because it hits a little too close to home. The movie is asking the audience to be more critical of their news source. that they can be the one making victims at times and they do not like that. Calling it 100% now, it will have nothing to do with the fact that he is white. Just like the Joker movie before it. But boy does him being white seem to be a continuous point for them(I am not white, like they will assume) XD

The fact that criticising the medias ethics in regards to what they decide to publish is now being called trumpish is just sad, how disconnected do you have to be from reality to blindly believe everything they report and not think critically about what the publishers stance on a topic or desire to bring in readers to earn the company money. Itd be bloody difficult to draw the line for what a media company should and shouldnt be allowed to publish however there should be some form of accountability for ruining a persons life if they decide to run slanderous/ completely one sided pieces that end up being proven completely inaccurate.

In your counter example about you doing something defamatory about Olivia Wilde. It would only matter if Olivia Wilde were still alive. If she was dead, any damage to her reputation would not hurt her. So it'd still be irrelevant. The dead woman portrayed in the movie cannot defend herself. True. She also is literally and physically unable to give a shit, or be affected by it in any way. because she's dead. As far as the world is concerned, she may as well be like James Bond. Gee I wonder why several news outlets would have a problem with a movie depicting the damage a false narrative could have a persons life and possibly shows the lack of journalistic integrity and investigation on the media's part, It isn't like there are dozens of examples every year of that shit happening, Out of curiosity how many of the news outlets that wrote negatively about the Clint Eastwood's movie is being sued by the Convinton Kids.

That company is so entitled. Based on True Events. Thats all you need and if people want to learn more about what happened, they can look it up. In the end, theyre responsible for ruining a mans life and falsely reporting something. This movie isnt demonizing journalists but its realistically showing just how the media can manipulate the truth in their favor and report on things without giving out facts, and how people are so easily swayed.

Phil, since they have been calling for his impeachment since he was elected, how can you keep acting like this legitimate? Being fair and balanced, is checking your bias at the door and telling ALL of the story. I dont like the guy either, but your reporting seems to be one sided. If they had not talked about impeaching him for almost 4 years, I could see getting behind it, but its all politics and thats all that this is.

Wow, the media being accused of misconduct and suspicious behavior, who could have thought that they ever wrote anything but pure facts l, o wait they did, a lot of times(obvious being the obvious.
