All the time I'm always being lied to. I'm sick of it seriously like literalky all the time i felt like it was time for me to move on to more important and better things in life rather than to stick around and continue because thst wasnt the lifei needed to be in stuck in a world of heartbreak and sadness just to see someone you knew very well tha has been lying to you more than once a couple of times etc and just needed to break away from it as possible even if they dont lie its still very hard trust people in this world today. word of advice. NEVER TRUST ANYONE NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE. KNKY TRUST GOD HE IS THE ONLY FRIEND YOU CAN DEPEND AND COUNT ON

Im scared my online friend has a lying problem.
It started with them saying they were seeing ghosts, I thought they were probably high or just really tired.
But then it progressed to them saying they were adopted in the UK, their mother died of a heart attack, theyre dying of a deadly virus they dont know the name of, they have tics, theyre blasian, work multiple jobs at 15 and have thousands of dollars in their bank account, theyve been kicked out of 3 mental hospitals, and bought their own apartment. Yeah its a lot and Im doubting a lot of it because it makes no sense.

What if they have a pretty good poker face? I mean I'm pretty expert at hiding my emotions, I can hide my nervousness pretty well.
But I wouldn't lie if I think it was about something important, I lie only if I think telling the truth wouldn't change the situation for better or worse. Telling the truth can bring a lot of meaningless chatter that would bring nothing but headaches.
But if it's about something important I wouldn't lie. Lying someone who thinks that you are telling the truth is the biggest treason you can do afterall.

This is an interesting video. Yet quite a few, if not all, of these tells are also characteristics of people that have been abused, gaslighted, and may have poor social skills, have sensory processing issues, as other behavior traits that make them tic, stim (ie. The hair twirling, hand gestures, etc, or be extremely uncomfortable in their surroundings. Would you please do a video about that: get the facts about the tells of how someone acts and reacts if they're abused, and how they're similar to the tells of lying?

Off topic but I'm in highschool have no friends and I have a anxiety disorder. I'm 105Lb but I still am insecure about myself. I have read a lot of the comments on your videos and everyone is so supportive! Any advice on how I can gain confidence?
Please don't tell me to talk to my parents about it they don't know I have a anxiety disorder and for now I would like to keep it that way.

Every time my ex bf would say I love you, his voice would change and he'd repeat the same emotionless lines about our relationship. I sensed he had been lying the whole time and turns out, displays very narcissistic behavior. He had to go for my mental health to improve. This video is more confirmation for my own gut instincts. Thank you for this.

When I talk to myself:
My family: Such an introvert. You know, there human beings with whom you can talk to!
Me when I start talking with my friends:
My family: You're always on that phone of yours! What's so interesting there! Then you say you have anxiety? That's the reason for it!
I'm done with this.

reply

I have to disagree with some of these. I have natural anxiety and play with my hair and fidget when Im not even talking. I also say um when Im talking because my brain works faster than my mouth and I have to play catch up. Lastly, I tend to look people in the eye when I talk to them. Its the polite thing to do
reply

I am high functioning on the Autism Spectrum. Most people wouldn't know. Being so though, I tend to break eye contact a lot, especially when I am thinking.
Eye contact is often used as a dead giveaway. I just want people to remember that there are reasons some people do it other than then lying to you.

my friend lied to me and everyone around for 2 years about her severe mental health issues. that resulted in her trying to kill herself THREE TIMES. She also on top of that hears voices in her mind dictating her what to do. So overall, lying is NOT good for your mental health or anyone around you.
reply

I have to disagree with this video. Like what if someone talks with their hands naturally or is nervous that the truth will hurt the other. If anything your gut intuition tells you if you're being lied to. I can automatically tell if someone's lying if my gut tells me something's off.
reply

Uhhhh, hey
I'm just here to say something
Can you do Sign of you being a toxic mother?
I have seen your video about sign you have toxic mother or something
I want you to make this video bc I believe in fate, maybe fate would want to show that video to my mother

reply

I lied to my friends and now I feel terrible. I want to tell them the truth but I'm afraid it'll ruin our years old friendship. I'm really ashamed of what I did. I want to rectify this and I will try my best to be a good friend.
Please help me out.

reply

This is also not always the case when you've got friends who have had a traumatic life and have mental illness. For those it's not fair to say they're lying when they're just naturally nervous because of everything they've been through.
reply

These signs are not to take care seriously. Only one sign is not sufficient.
Break eye contact does not mean that a person is lying, because liers like to confirm if you are believing in their lie, so they will look at you yes.

reply

I talk to myself quite often due to the pandamic. I just start talking like I'm blogging my life and just start babbling real loudly thinking noone can hear me. It's a habit now and I feel better when I talk to myself: )
reply

My gut feeling are usually right, idk how but I just get a feeling when something is wrong or someone is not a right person to be with. Thanks for this advice tho( Maybe I will use it on my brother more than friends )
reply

I only repeat myself when I have to explain something Im embarassed about
Uuuuh soo people think Im lying then? Actually Im definitely not lying, just exaggerating or leaving out details because Im embarassed lol

reply

ahahaha if people used these on me they'd assume I'm lying all the time even though it's mostly my autism, which I've occasionally called Chronic Authenticity Syndrome so that's a wee bit ironic x'D
reply

Question! I am currently dealing with a friend who has been bullying me, they wrote an apology, how do I know if its real or not, but right after, I got bullied more, is it a true apology or not?
reply

Signs that im being lied to: everything my fake friend/enemy (they pretend to be kind to everyone and I try my best to manage a smile no matter what but everyone knows they hate me) does to me
reply

It's sad because I do some of these and I dont lie to my friends lol but this helps a lot because i feel like my friends are lying to me a lot so this has helped extraordinarily
reply

Sometimes, I could smell that they were so dishonest at me. And, my late mother was bad at lying. ( mental issues. She was told that she wasnt being honest with us and she exploded.
