I have to work on controlling my emotions. I have come a long way though. Before depression and anxiety disorder, I used to be a mess with handling my emotions. now I am better at regulating emotions but if am pushed too far, I do burst out. atleast on 1 occassion have had a panic attack ( an acquaintance was verbally abusive and it triggered past trauma. Spent 7 hrs crying and pacing around my condo. Puked and even then couldnt stop. Called 911 and they said I wasnt a candidate for ambulance and should go to psych emergency. Since then I keep meds on hands for that and stay far from mosf people. Hopefully in time will be able to handle it all without meds.

Which is why I kinda relate to Luisa Madrigal from Encanto. She was a complete doormat who would always say yes to everyone. Everyone would tell Luisa to do stuff for them, and Luisa would always say yes and ok, even if she was in the middle of something else or didnt want to. Luisa Madrigal did not set any healthy boundaries for herself. She didnt take any care of herself cause she sacrificed all of her time and energy and happiness to do what others wanted her to do.

my question how can you handle you life if you realize you are actually have been use by the community because of someone spread the bad rumor and plan it to happen for you without knowing or ask you and then show the rumor was right for you to receive bad attention from other until you depression anxiety mental illness loss appetite and time to calculate for dead. perhaps they treat you like you don't deserve on earth. only that is my question. how you feel?

I often feel like a doormat. So many times, other kids my age or near my age would be strict and bossy with me as if they were adults. They would tell me what to do and what not to do and I felt intimidated so I listened to them when I didnt want to. But my therapist is helping me set healthy boundaries to stand up for myself. I always felt too intimidated to stand up for myself so I let others push me around

I am so glad as a person who watch this video for the first time that I have 4 of these 6 habits in myself. everyday I am just trying to be a better version of myself and work on my personality and I love the fact that after watching this video I understand that all that effort is actually worth it.

Good to hear that I practice each and every habit mentioned here. Am not in any of the social medias, whenever I have a bad day I give myself a delicious food treat, if am on a diet I just go and get myself a gift. I take out time for myself and I love it

Doing everything alone and figuring how to be able to do things yourself makes one very mentally strong. When one depends on someone for assistance, they become physically and mentally weak. I never ask for help with anything at all.

Moreover, whatever is man made, thats neither a reality nor a fact. So whatever someone says to put you down or make fun of you, remember. Whatever he/she says wont become reality or change the fact.

I really enjoy the topics in your videos! As a proofreader, I just wanted to let you know there is a typo in your Yale ad. The word 'recommends' is misspelled. Someone may want to fix that.

Where may I get the background music? The moment this video started my whole body just calmed down, not just because of the peaceful voice and strong information, but also the music.

Many of these suggestions are mentioned in Bhagavad Gita.

the fact that the cover is from jujutsu kaisen, where characters are kinda forced by the bad happenings to become strong despite being so broken, kinda have me in tears

Number ONE sounds easy, but many people don't recognize the emotions they are feeling. And if they feel more than one emotion at the same time? Forget about it.
reply

actually, eating healthy, working out, and sleeping on time can help with mental health. it can make you feel happier and happiness affects mental health.

Two different attitudes: Is today the latest day in your past life or is today the first day of the rest of your life?
