10 Elden Ring Problems NOBODY WANTS TO ADMIT SaiyanBroly: The flaw that made me quit Elden Ring and not come back is that unlike most games you do not get rewarded by progressing in power the longer you play. You'll still be as weak as a kitten after a playthrough of 50 hours. Gear does not make a difference, neither does gaining levels.
The things usually compensating my growing lack of skill (because i'm becoming an old fart) in other games are just absent here.
The straw that broke the camel's back was hitting a brick wall with the Godskin Apostle in that tower despite powerleveling my way to lv 170 by farming those infernal birds over and over. If i can't get results after such an investment of my time i might as well quit and pick another game that respects my time more.
But hey, at least i managed to beat the living snot out of Radahn before i quit, so i must have done something right.

My main problems are:
1- Invasions. They are never fun for the host. The idea is cool but the execution is always (in all souls) very poor. I love coop and duels, but invasions suffer from several problems: a lot of areas should be excluded, the area of invasion is generally too big, enemies attack the host but not the invader, lag-hitbox problems, etc. There are more problems like, if you play a very PvE focus character and get invaded with someone who focus on PvP you have no chances.
Invasions should be optional, different from any other type of multiplayer interaction so you can coop and duel but not be invaded.
2- Poise. A very hard to balance variable, poise in DS3 feels pretty good, but in ER feels like crap when it's paired with slow attacks. You always feel that those delayed attacks should be easy to punish, but you can't and need to adapt to the timings to evade.

I have only been playing for about 2 weeks, and you nailed it. I can only think of one other thing. A different type of slow down. Sometimes, when trying to run away from an enemy, your character slows down and then speeds back up. It is like the character is running a bit slower while everything else is still moving at the normal speed. I have got wrecked in the most frustrating moments because of it.
Eldin Ring is by far the most frustrating game I have ever played. The number of times I have died when the bosses health is so low that if a fly landed on it, it would die. That being said, it is a really amazing game, and I'm glad it is.
I really wish they would make it a hair easier to follow quest lines.

I've got 3 pretty annoying gripes. 1st is the lack of tracking in your attacks. Bosses will track you to the top of the great erdtree with ease but if an enemy is slightly elevated because of hilly terrain my attack is going right into the ground and god forbid they slightly side step during a jump attack, lol. Also the outrageous amount of time you spend on the ground after getting knocked down. I can take hits from demi gods but if you knock me off my horse I'm seemingly going to need to sleep it off for a minute. Last but not least, enemies can attack through anything, be it wall or ground, but if my attack glances a tombstone it's done for.

People also don't realize that this is the 7th installment in the Soulsborne series including Sekiro. The formula has been pretty much the same throughout and has a very dedicated fanbase. They're going to make these games for them with trying to include some other things for new players. I can accept criticism for performance issues, but people are complaining about basic souls mechanics/framework that we know and love. They shouldn't and are not going to change it for a vocal very tiny minority. The Director Miyazaki already stated that he will never bend to anyone. If you don't like it, maybe it's not for you.

Elden Ring was just not meant for open world, in my opinion.
The game engine focuses its priority on complex renders and animation which is the norm for any souls game. as well Sekiro did not have PvP
Dragons suck btw:
- They re everywhere
- They all have the same attack animation
- They re hard /awkward to hit, the head is always moving, aim for it s feet is annoying and they re ALWAYS flying.
- They re big. Can t see them about to attack
- Those elite / strong dragons especially
I want a fov slider just to see a little more.

I like how gingerly he has to be with the souls fans lol. Like now hold on. I'm just saying this game is super duper awesome, but it does have flaws, but it is also super amazing lol. Most of these reasons are why I didn't think it deserved all the 10/10 scores. A more fair score would be 9/10 or even as high as 9. 5/10. This game really made me start noting the various review elements of each outlet so every time I read or watch a review its like well. they didn't fault ER for that or this or that even though they're faulting this other game for it.

Things I hate: Arrows getting stuck in the ground between my feet when crouching and shooting. Arrows getting stuck in mid air between objects. Getting kicked off of Torrent mid fight because I pushed the left joystick too hard while turning. Getting hit by enemies through solid objects like buildings and cave walls. How insanely long it takes to get up after being knocked down. From Software patching whenever someone finds an easy way to beat a boss but not patching the myriad of other problems in the game.

They really need to up their MP game. It's a cool immersive mechanic with doing all the finger stuff but aside from that I'd really like to see an update letting friends run around wherever they want, however long they want. Seriously this would fix the people leaving the game problem. I'm not leaving anytime soon but it sucks that my friend and I have to find another game to play together when Elden Ring is the game we want to play together.

biggest problem in the game for me is that the map doesnt have any markers for ruins, caves and dungeons. most of the time you would spend 10 mins wondering looking for those and when you finally found one you ll finally get this relief of thank god i can finally go back to actually playing the game. i dont think manually looking for cave entrances are actually fun especially if youre doing it for the 40th time
