Lighting changed _(The entire game has been lit up, except for SOME scenes that were darkened, If you played the original game you probably can guess why when you put them side-by-side, _ Idle animations removed completely _(Hardly anyone mentions this, probably because, _ player camera changed _(To avoid the male gaze, we can't have players see anything below the chest, _ faces changed _(It's not high def textures, the models changed for almost every character, if not all)_ A lot of audio was changed.
Were these changes due to licensing or something 30% different! lol
For the PC I would have preferred the PS4 to PS5 upgrade, NOT this.

All this hate aside, I personally years before this came out have searched this game on steam countless times hoping one day I’d see it there, and sure enough one day coming soon and I was honestly over the moon, I’ve played this on PS4 a few times and it’s my favorite game from them. When I saw it coming to PC I imagined the quality and shading upscaling potential, and it shattered my scale by being even MORE beautiful looking than I thought. However $60 is hard to justify but I won’t be picky sense I see $40 to be an absolute perfect price, but as I’ve stated already, it’s worth the $20 for me

never played the original but pretty clear sign they are doing remakes and remasters on games that aren't even that old yet some aren't even a few years old yet they give them those treatments just shows how lazy many of these companies have gotten along with greedy given often expect people to pay more then the original along with often just make them worse it seems to me in some areas though by the sounds of it some of those worsening of the remakes/remasters some games have suffered isn't the case in this one even some defiantly seem probably are

I really wish Until Dawn had continued as an anthology. The story was complete and fully satisfying so I didn't need a sequel (plus, depending on your ending, there really, couldn't be one that wasn't a rehash, but the name is perfect for an ongoing series and I just haven't been feeling the Dark Pictures Anthology. Put a similar group of talent behind the money Sony was providing and this could've been a match made in heaven.
Maybe this'll help remind people of how good Until Dawn really was. if the price doesn't scare them away.

I am curious if anyone else experienced this. Because I have never encountered this before with a new console release.
So. Went to my local Gamestop Friday; they did not have any physical copies. Dude said none were sent to them. He called 2 other Gamestops that were close by. They said the same thing.
Called Wal-Mart, right next to the Gamestop I was in, they never received any copies, either.
This game DOES have a physical copy, right Just strange like literally 4 stores around me received zero.

Yeah 60$ for a game like this is way too much. I wouldn't spend more than 20$ for it considering it takes about 10 hours to complete and even that is generous if you ask me. The game is amazing, but the price is not justified in my opinion.
If only Sony would push the remake for Bloodborne or any of the old games like GoW series or Uncharted. I wouldn't look at money.

slasher movies and torture porn are not good films. Horror is more than one simple part of the genre and there are many horror films that ARE great films. But most people like to discount them and their underlying themes, because they only focus on the slashes and screaming. If you can't find horror movies that aren't good films, you're watching the wrong films.

I’m all for remakes but like remake games I can’t get on ps4 go look at ps2 games and put some money into them!
If we could get the IP I’d love a the suffering and suffering ties that bind remake. Or something that was cool back then but imaging how those games would look now! If I get this game, I’m waiting on it to go on sale in a few months

So, this is the Star Wars Special Edition of Until Dawn
For people who've never played this before, whether you get the original or the remake, play with some friends. It is really fun because you get the experience of yelling at a slasher film and able to change the outcome of it and blame your friends when characters mess up.

I don’t have a problem when they do remasters or editions where they’ve updated the graphics. But like 30$ should be the total.
Or like an option to update your copy if you buy it digitally for a discount.
60$ fine if you’ve never owned it. But 30$ for an update would be fair in my eyes

Thumbs up for these videos, I like to know how much a publisher is trying to screw me over.
THUMBS DOWN on the price, $60 for a remake with virtually no changes from the original.
Sony has really gotten on the screw over our fans big time band wagon with this and Horizon remake in progress.

2. Horror is one of the most influential and artistic genres. It is objectively (for a fact) as influential as it is, because of its quality as well as its shock value.
3. Why do this before you buy if you don’t respect horror as art. Incredibly biased.

For everyone wondering why Sony remakes these types of games another example is the last of us is because 50% of the game is pure cutscenes so it’s easier for them & that’s also the reason why we’re probably not getting a bloodborne remake for a good while. they just want easy money

It was steep at 60 quid but been playing it all weekend and it’s been fantastic, i loved the ps4 version too at the time.
Im mainly on pc but its great to play these types of games on console lying on the sofa and have a few beer, like the quarry and the dead pictures games.

It’s not gonna sell and the original was developed so well that a remake was completely unnecessary. It’s a cash grab and the story itself once finished has no replay value. Should have been a $10 upgrade if u have ps4 version. Sad how greedy Sony has become

The game is 9 years old for $60. you can only play this type of game a certain amount of times, and it would make more sense to watch a let's play from NINE YEARS AGO. take your $60 and buy some groceries ppl you'll enjoy that longer than you'll enjoy this game

I think no remake/remaster should be above 40$. Maybe 50 if it's really something extra. But the big part of development, the creative process, the design, the writing, all of that has been done before. Asking full price for something lacking those is audacious.

There are so many games that need remakes over Until Dawn. Stuntman, both infamous games or even the older armoured cores. All a great games that has issues that a remake could fix.
Granted, it's mostly frame rate. But even that could fix a game

Sony got so addicted to releasing unnecessary remakes, meanwhile Bloodborne fans are just begging for a simple 60fps patch on the PS5
