Showing my ignorance. I know 0 east Asians currently. Knew of 2 in high school a gazillion years ago so my main connection to them unfortunately is via tv/movies an the ones i see out on the street. Sad, I know. That being said her voice throws me off every time I hear it cause I don't expect it and not very familiar with her, but I love it.

She's definitely made a big fan out of me. Aside from her rapping skillz, she's proven to be a very capable actress. After seeing CRA, my first thought she would be limited as a comedic type actress, but then I saw her in The Farewell and quickly realized she is very much capable or roles requiring broader range and depth of character.
