Hey, Chef John. Since you're wading into the world of fusion turkeys, I wanna tell you about a local Indian spot I tried years ago. They had a tandoori turkey. I got it for Thanksgiving. Kind of interesting, but I think you might be able to do it better. Would love to see your take on it!

This reminds me of your roast lamb recipe with pomegranate glaze. That was my first Chef John video and now 10 years later, you're still my favorite chef. Here's to another 10 years and I cant wait to try the turkey. Looks amazing.

Chef John is the best teacher on the internet!
How thoroughly should I rub this in the turkey
If someone is watching you do this, it should be a little awkward.
The clarity of that instruction is perfect.

Most scientists recommend 165 Fahrenheit as the safe internal temp for turkey.
PS, this looks incredible! My mouth was watering watching this. I can't wait to make it!

That looks amazing. I probably would not have considered that spice mix for turkey but I've been won over. Thank you for not only great recipes but also the education in prep.

Looks interesting, but I don't really care much at all for turkey. I do it once a year out of tradition, but always found it to be just too dry.

When you tie anything, always start in the middle. Then, go do the ends. Chef John, please don't take offense. I always tie things this way.

I love this spice combo! I think it would also be great with a butterflied leg of lamb, and the pan sauce too! Thank you Chef John, as usual.

Thank you for the amazing recipe!
Not to be pedantic but, there are some typos in your written recipe, in case it bothers you.

Chef John is ruining Thanksgiving for all of us who have relatives that would never dream of preparing a turkey in anyway except dry and dull.

wait where did the redness come from in the pan sauce It looks like it appears as if by magic around the side of the pan at about 5: 18
