I have seen that pour heated oil over a raw or cold item to infuse it with the flavor of the garnishes technique reference in a few Chinese cookbooks. Sounds like the world of sushi is borrowing it - I'd better try it, because it sounds as if it makes things very tasty!

Ive been wanting to try some different salmon recipes. This one is next. Cant wait to find some good fish. Wish i had a knife that would cut like that. Thanks for the videos, now im hungry for sashimi and its 7 in the morning. LOL
