I think the outcome of the recipe looks really good and undoubtely tastes awesome. However, I feel you slightly overdid it with the egg yolks. I mean, you may have used a little too much. As a result all the colouring and shapes inside the roll can't be appreciated. But anyway, it looks delicious! I've been cheking out your videos and I've been learning a lot. Hopefully. someday I'll have the time to properly prepare these recipes, especially because it seems rahter difficult to get many of the ingredients here in South America!

Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I love the tips you give, using plastic wrap when slicing the sushi, and placing the mat in a bag (made for an easy clean up. Used your technique but subbed in canned tuna and a bit of mayo for the filling, pipped on some sriracha mayo. Hubby was very impressed. Thanks again and Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi! I watched many of your videos and got obsessed with sushi. My girlfriend loves it, so yesterday I finally made some. I didnt have all of the ingedients for the rise since they are hard to find in Uruguay, BUT it was delicious anyway. Thank you for all your videos! Cheers!

Davy, will you be my Valentine? Haha loving the sushi vids, after watching through them, and the tips you give, helped me out on making sushi. A simple avocado roll, but good. Keep up the good work man. Hope all is well.

Egg yolk and mayonnaise debase this beautiful dish. When finished it looks like a cake. So one could be shocked tasting out it's actually a spicy dish: bad surprise instead of the eroticism it is meant to produce.

Although I agree that the egg yolk and mayo at the end was unnecessary, I liked that you taught us a way to plate the sushi, so kudos to that anyway! I might try this with the egg yolk and mayo as well!

I made my rendition of this roll at work. My sushi master was pissed. He said dying the rice was not traditional. The executive chef and wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish I could show you a picture of it.

They looked great before you added th egg and the mayo. It looks gross, I wouldn't eat that. Your girlfriend probably didn't want to either. Men, always be crossing lines and messing shit up.

You are amazing. In my humble opinion however, it looked better without the eggs and mayo. Or at least it shouldn't have covered the insides of the maki as that what makes makis look good.
