Because of my Polish/German heritage our families would celebrate New Year's Day with a huge roaster of beef/rice cabbage rolls in a tomato sauce and another roaster of pork/rice cabbage rolls cooked in sauerkraut. Fantastic.

Omg! One of my favorite things as a child was my aunt's cabbage rolls. I think of them often. but have not had any in probably 50-60 years. I'm definitely going to make these. Thank you. thank you!

I love cabbage I will try this recipe. I will admit the combination of the two surprises me. I have made the rolls using fresh Poblano, Pasillas or Ancho. Your baking dishes are elegant.

I usually put the filling on the end that isn't cut as it just naturally tends to curl up a bit, I also cook my rice first and add some chopped bacon to the filling. So yummy.

Thank you for the recipe.
Greetings to you and your family from Seattle, Washington.

I just saw his cabbage roll recipe on TT yesterday. He’s in Louisiana and used the infamous Magnalite roaster. I agree. The corn pudding would be a perfect accompaniment

I'm sad because I can't reach through this screen and snatch a plate of that! It looks so good! By the way. I also add cheese to mine when I make them.
