I am so enjoying watching your videos your such a charming cook. Very pleasant voice to listen to. Your dishes look wonderful, I was looking at Polish dumpling recipes and there your beautiful ham. I was wanting something different for Thanksgiving this year, your menu would work great. I am a retired restaurantier & chocolatier, we ran the restaurant full time and made chocolates in another facility and delivered them to stores>>>>busy, busy life! Have you thought about doing something professionally? Food Network would love your voice for a TV show. so would the viewers.

My mother would make her glaze very very similar to yours, except instead of vinegar or lemon juice, she would use a couple good squirts of mustard and about a cup of Dark brown sugar. but she also did the pineapples and cherries all over her scored ham. wow this makes me miss my moms. i havent had hers since i was 19. im 50 now. i miss her new years ham.

Sent this vid directly to my niece who has just started learning to cook. Your recipes are wonderful encouragement for new cooks who are learning the basic skills as well as us old cooks who like quick, tasty recipes. You never make the tasks overwhelming and you explain the whys. She loves you videos and has tried out nearly all your recipes.

Would you say something more about the ham? Do you get a cured ham or what kind of ham? I can't find a ham that is only 8 pounds with the bone in. What should I request from the butcher? I also want the the skin of the ham on it. I'm having a hard time finding a kind of ham and looking for. LOL any information on that? Thank you

Question. I cook my ham the night before Thanksgiving and transport to my mother's house the next day to eat dinner. What should I do with the ham to keep it fresh for the next day? Refrigerator? Leave it out, but covered at room temp? Any suggestions?

Mom and Dad boiled a fresh ham, cut the fat off after it was all most done. use mustard and brown sugar and then put the pineapple and cherries on bake it until done. do not like my ham to taste like a apple sauce cake, so I leave out the cloves

to hold the pineapple and cherries I use superglue it also give a good hard crust but it is hard to cut the ham. Use about a gallon of superglue it will preserve the ham for years too our Christmas ham still cant be cut and still looks great
