my list of 50 delicious Indonesian foods Ive always been a huge fan of any type of oxtail, from oxtail soup to oxtail stew. So when I was in Jakarta, I was not going to miss the opportunity to eat a meal of sop buntut, or oxtail soup. When I arrived to Sop Buntut Cut Meutia, unfortunately they didnt have any buntut bakar available (grilled oxtail, so I had to just settle for only the sop buntut. Overall, it was a little salty, but did taste pretty good. Sop Buntut Cut Meutia Address: Jalan Menteng Kecil No. 4/5, Menteng, Jakarta Open hours: 9 am - 4 pm daily Sop buntut (oxtail soup) - 40, 000 IDR Sate - 25, 000 IDR Coconut - 15, 000 IDR (1. 12)

Mark, Im Filipino and we have that kind of dish here but we call it Bulalo soup. The part of the beef that we use are beef shanks with bone marrow. Broth has a very beefy taste and saltiness is derived from the fish sauce. Aside from the usual garlic, onions and pepper corn, we also add cabbage and corn. Pls order that dish again but this time use a condiment combination of fish sauce, hot chili pepper and calamansi. I guarantee you it will be one of the most delicious combination you'd ever put in your mouth. Put a generous amount of the broth on your rice then add the condiment I suggested over your rice and to the piece of beef and vegetable you'll put on your spoon.

that deep fried-mashed potato called Perkedel Kentang and i'm sure you can get bowl of oxtail soup with a half price, more cheaper and i believe more flavor and delish here ini Solo, Central Java. actually it's not right in Solo but Tawangmangu, Karangayar it's about one hour and half to get there from Solo. that oxtail soup named Sop Buntut Bu Ugi. you can visited there sometimes and explore more food from indonesia especially Solo, Jogja or perhaps you can get to east java to try Nasi Pecel Yu Gembrot in Madiun because Karanganyar is the frontier between central and east java, about one hour to get there: D

Mark you need your own tv show on food network, you are right up there with Andrew Zimmer, I feel like your talking directly to me, I watch your videos daily. Good Job, can't say anything bad and where is Joel, tell him hello, I don't know if enjoying the food sometimes or laughing but I like him and tell him hello, also, Happy New Years.

Duh waktu demikian cepat berlalu.

you should try Oxtail Soup at the Bogor Cafe, Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. They serve the 'Legendary oxtail soup' yea it's what they call it. and they're not exaggerating it. it tastes really wonderful. the broth is not too thick n oily but really spicy. the meat is tender and juicy. perfect combo.

The minced potato is called perkedel, Mark. It's my favourite thing to eat, but from the looks when you break it in the video, I can tell that you're not eating the delicious kind of it. The delicious one should be more buttery and not breaking like that when you try to slice it with your spoon.

i love you mark but man you need to tone down that facial expression a bit, maybe try nodding instead of sighing with your mouth open everytime you take a bite. and your over excitement gives you that wrinkly crease on the side of your eyes, xo.

Mark, don't mind the bad comments. Those people don't have anything positive to say about anyone anyway. Love your shows. You go where the other food shows have not gone before. Keep doing your shows for the rest of us who enjoyed watching it.
