In this episode we're back in McCurtain County, Oklahoma doing some fly fishing in my favorite trout fishery in the south: the Lower Mountain Fork River. Our mission: to put my best friend Josh Fuller on his first fish on the fly. Trey and Morgan Prater from Beavers Bend Fly Shop are once again coaching us through this premiere rainbow trout fishery, and Josh and I BOTH hook into absolute TANKS

That looked like a good time! I like to kayak fish but I really enjoy some fly fishing as well. Ive been to the lower mountain fork once but we were trying to catch smallies. You should go down to the Reregulation dam and launch above that dam and kayak fish up stream from there. I caught a giant bass that I think was spotted bass that went 21. I should have looked it over more for maybe a toothpatch but I didnt. As far as trout I have only fished the stocked trout in the ponds around DFW. I did hook into a few stocked trout that were good size one went about 12 and the biggest was about 14. They do stock some monsters in the Trinity river Ft. Worth I want to say Trinity Park cant remember. Great video though man!

I would like to invite you to the UK to fish my water which we stock with some very fast fit fighting fish, as u say in the video the rainbow trout are awesome when it comes to speed and I guarantee that when you hook one of our 3lb super strong blue rainbow trout you will be expecting a 20 lb er to be suprised by a 18 inch blue when it does inevitably jump clear 2 foot of water trying to spit the hook, great videos as alway. Keep up the good work and the dream, all hail Robert

I know how slippery it can b trying to keep your balance while steeping threw a stream. I have slipped n fell more than once while fishing. thank you josh for showing me that great instinctual process of how to complete a slip. ALWAYS KEEP THE ROD TIP UP AND DONT SPILL YOUR BEER. HAA! great stuff u guys. nice fish, great vid!

Love watching your videos, but the best is when you talk about conservation. If you can leave the water without a trace, fisherman absolutely should. Even the smallest of plastics makes a difference! Sometimes it's unavoidable, but a little effort goes a long way.

my biggest peeve is people that leave there lines and lures in the water! dag gum worm dunkers and phoebe chuckers and now jig fisherman! . because they are usually the same people that leave garbage along the banks of the rivers. shaking fist

Another great vid. Riggin up for some reds in choupique bayou s Louisiana this weekend. Heard they fly fish down in the marsh just never tried myself. Would love to see a diy video of that rod holder on the truck.

So I researched the 10 fastest fish in the world and rainbow was not on any of the lists lol. Did find one article saying the fastest in fresh water tho. Regardless I love the videos and and the fish.

Kind of a lame set up considering Fly poles can be taken down and are compact with case. I wouldn't want my Fly pole full of bugs stuck on it with driving.

I cant believe u were in Oklahoma! Lol didnt realise people came here to fish. From what I can tell its somewhat ordinary yet here you are pullin trout! Fish on

Never fly fished before and was trying to take some notes but. it was so confusing to watch with everyone yelling out commands. I can see why Josh struggled a bit
