ULTIMATE BEGINNERS WORKOUT GUIDE (Get Results)
video description
My biceps shortened from having bent arms all day and it pulled in my shoulder and caused me pain from my elbows and in my shoulder, took me a while to figure out it was my triceps - after a few days rest I got this numb pain in my triceps for the first time, when it had just been my elbows and shoulder before that.
So I'm getting back into it - I won't be benching for a while and I'm doing a lot of tricep isolation, hope it works coz the pain was chronic.

Ryan I'm a re-beginner and ALL of this is extraordinarily helpful. I lifted all through high school doing mostly 5x5s and progressive overload, basically because thats what coach required. Did other gyms off and on and recently decided it best to live past my 40s so the past 7 months have been exercise brutality and food sensitivity. Your advice on learning to connect with each muscle carefully has revolutionized how I approach the whole thing.
I'm in better shape now than I have been in 20 years. Hopefully I'm currently in the worst shape of the rest of my life. I'd rather die like a Klingon doing battle with the dumbbells than die like the obese sack of shit I was.

one thing that i think is -the most- important for beginners to understand, is that the more you get into it, and the more you get used to eating cleaner and fitness, the easier it will get. once you get used to salads you will -want- a salad over candy. you will -want- to move rather than sit in bed and watch TV. it just takes a while. think long run marathon, not fast quick sprint. those can work but only temporarily. eventually you'll get back to right where you started. use that strong motivation to stick to something easier but for longer, so you can get used to it, rather than something harder for shorter, if you want to see long term progress.

Ryan what do you think of weighted dips and pull ups (eventually one arm pull ups while hanging a weight from other arm, until then any variation in the hypertrophy rep range) done in the 10-20 rep range as the only home workout recipe to get as jacked as possible?
I got two steel stool ladders to dip between, bunch of travel bags filled with sand as the weight, and a seatbelt strap tied in a loop to hang those sandbags off of me (the seatbelt strap is hung from my shoulders.
That, and training to be able to do 200 atg squats in a row.

-You are always fatter than you think you are-. O U C H
I am 38, IT/stationary job. I have a treadmill and weights. I want to loose 50 lbs. I have a 3 year old and I need to get in shape.
Can anyone guide me? I want to start working out and keep a journal but I am lost as in how many exercises do you need to do per day?
I will keep a journal, but I need a workout program for home, and a week long plan.
Thanks and have a great day: )

Ok let me start by saying I'm a fan.
Love you personal and frank advice and instruction.
But I'm guessing PEDs are the main reason for your appearance.
I think it should be noted in all advice vids. And obviously not from just yourself. Because there are those who will follow said advice but never get near the look of the advicer. And will probably throw in the towel or worse, start using PEDs.

Love all this advise. Things we only learn after years in the iron game. The only thing I think beginners might have a problem with is the mind muscle connection. Even if I would have hammered my lats for few hours one day, I still think it would have taken me years to figure the connection out. This is a feeling we only get after doing rep after rep for a long time. Great video!

What do you consider the best split? Right now I'm giving two days off on a push pull. I'm 40 took a few yrs off getting back into it now noticing my joints are hurting more now at this age elbows mostly, especially after working out. Is hitting a single muscle each day of the week effective? Never done it so looking for advice. thanks.

How would you do neuro muscular adaptation? Younger self would be able to hit gym more often since shorter delayed onset muscle soreness. Thou how would you restart older you, when muscle tissue repair process is longer from eccentric contraction overload creating eccentric muscle fiber tears?
