The Most Underrated HAMSTRING Exercise If you want to strengthen and build your hamstrings, you want to include both hip extension and knee flexion movements. For hip extension, think Romanian Deadlift or Good Morning for example and for knee flexion think about those hamstring curl machines. But how can you work and even isolate those hamstrings if you don-t have any equipment at home? So many of those go to moves require gym access or at least more equipment- That-s why I wanted to share one of my go-to knee flexion hamstring moves, whether you have no tools while training at home or access to a full gym

I've never seen anyone do these on a rowing machine! Very creative! I think the most challenging variations I've seen are with your feet on top of a round dumbbell or a medicine ball. It's more difficult because of the weight of the object, as well as how narrow you have to plant your legs/feet (less stability and longer range of motion.

I watched this video while exercising. I happened to be doing glute bridges at the time. I immediately stopped and grabbed my sliders. This was much harder than I expected. I guess my hamstrings need some work! Thanks for the great exercise.

Thank you for creating & sharing this. I've been struggling with being creative while working out at home since the pandemic started. My hamstrings have really deconditioned despite all the cycling & walking I've done.

I've tried this exercise with both core sliders and the large Swiss ball. Both are pretty hard. Please may I ask which of the two, in your opinion, is the most effective overall.
Thanks

Thank you - I'll try those variations. I loved that you mentioned about protecting the spine! I have noticed that really works and take the pressure off. Focusing on working the right muscle -

Great video! As someone who no longer has access to gym equipment but a strong desire to maintain and build my muscle mass, have variability and room to grow - this video was excellent! Thanks!

Hi Cory, I watch all your videos with interest and learn all the time from the content. Thank you for all the effort. I use the stability ball for this move and find it extremely challenging.

Amy idea for concrete basement I went through 4 pairs of socks and the towel I have doesn't work just wondering if the furniture slider would work really don't want to spend any money

Did not realize how weak my hamstrings are, relative to my quads, until I tried this. Totally doing the regressed version for the next few weeks to build my form and strength.
