How to Start Calisthenics for Beginners Lennie: Very new to this. Tired of feeling like a old pot of jelly. I'm 43, everything wobbles, I have no body confidence and feel like every muscle is literally fine, floppy string. I've no strength at all. I had a dabble with another of your videos yesterday that was great for those who don't have access to a gym, and love the aches I have today. I personally really need to super beginner ones because if it's too hard, it would just put me off altogether. Feeling accomplished even if it's in a small way is great encouragement to keep going. The aches are great reinforcement.

Brilliant thank you, I'm in my 70s not very fit but improving and rather over weight, but with these progressions I can see it is possible to achieve my goals. I only have a doorway bar at present hopefully getting a dip station soon, so I won't be able to complete all your exercises, but your dip progressions I can work on, any advice on how I can adapt bar exercises to doorway bar, as I can't quite get full height in?

Have you started calisthenics by yourself or some coach was helping you? I'm asking this because I don't know do I need a coach to learn those movements and also hard variation as a human flag and etc, or can I learn them all by myself without any help? Also I'm struggling to work in special places for calisthenics, which are outside and people can look at me. I really don't like when someone is looking at me

Hi Lucy, first thanks for your great vids! I noticed that you barely mentioned the knee push-ups in all your Calisthenics beginner videos as a progression. Is that because you don't recommend it? Personally, I can do maybe 5 push-ups in a row, but I could not do more reps as my arms are so fatigue, so I choose to do knee push-ups. But I now think if I should switch to inclined push-ups for a better result?

Thank you heaps for your video! I'm a beginner, and so many of your tips have helped heaps already: D sadly I can only do 2 pushups at best but with doing incline I can actually do 10 and have now added it too my routine hit training, being so unmotivated lately seeing this video 100% brought back that spark to continue to learn and grow: D

Thank you for this! Very clear and helpful for a beginner!
I wanted to know if there is a minimum amount we should be able to do before going into the next harder step? How many do you recommend? Or does it just depend if we feel ready to go to the next step?

Your journey video and QnA got me super inspired (especially the mindset parts. This vid looks awesome but I think I'm gunna have to lose like 3 stone before i can really try it: ) d/w I'll get there: )

Thanks for this vid! Most of the other -for beginners- vids I've watched still start at a way too high fitness level for me, and I keep thinking -yes, but how do I get THERE? - This was the video I needed.

Love these! I had just started training outside with hanging bars at parks here in Prague, but what with everything going in I now need to stay inside so these progressions are perfect. Thank you: D

I really appreciate the pullup progression. I have the bands and try looping a band and doing them but am too weak to do more then a few. Now I have a lower form to do to build strength.
