I am so so glad I found this video. I started my weight loss diet 2 weeks ago and I first started doing a keto diet for 1 week( Yes I talked to my doctor )
But then i stopped because it just wasn't for me. I live in a mexican household so some of yall know how hard it can be to loose weight with all the food, So I was determined to just drop the calories and sugar I consume and also stay active and exercise.
1 week ago my weight was 169 now my weight 163 - I know it probably just water weight that I lost but this video made me so motivated to not give up and to just try really hard but to not overwork myself. My weight goal is 150 -
Again thank you wo much for this video you have no idea how much it means to me.

I've started training in the gym a little over a week ago. and I feel great. I've lost 1kg, and people have been telling me that I am glowing. I've been fat all my life. not as much as now, but I was big. than my dad died in 2014 and I started eating like crazy. I couldn't stop. Even when I was feeling sick, I would continue eating. And than my boyfriend died 2 years later, and that ruined me. I started eating more and more, wasn't active at all. now I've decided to change. I started going to the gym to look better. now I do it because it feels amazing. After a workout, I feel refreshed, full of energy and I am happier, stronger. My diet is way healthier now, and I love to cook for myself.

My personal advice would be: don-t rely on motivation, instead be disciplined and practice this disciplin. Build habits and in the beginning don-t make exceptions at all costs (except you-re sick or so obviously) because if you make one exception you can-t justify why you won-t do it again. Later, when it actually is as effortless as brushing your teeth, you can make exceptions because then you should be disciplined enough so that you can count on yourself to get back on track immediately.
That-s just my personal experience and I wanted to share it for mo reason -

The world honestly needs a full population of you. So genuine and motivating. Not to mention very pretty to say the least. Thanks for helping me figure out my core workouts. It's exactly what I needed to step up to more strength training. I let my body go after high school because I started drinking. Low and behold 8 years later I notice my body is not able to move properly anymore. I can't even do a squat without weight without my knees hurting. As soon as I did your abb workout I can feel my core feel tight and aligned. Keep up your good work

Agree with everything Lucy said, in my experience keeping a workout journal has been the most motivating way of tracking my progress, I hardly ever exercised before but once I started tracking my progress it was the game changer! Now my life has completely changed, 9 months later and I-ve lost over 10kg and maintained it, biggest tip I have for anyone, every time I look back at my first week of workouts I glow with pride at how far I-ve come! Good luck to everyone and thanks Lucy for your great videos!

Hi! My sister send me your videos and THANK YOU! You seem so nice and I hope that in the future I can relate to your story even more. I want to change my lifestyle. I don't really have a goal. I just want to love myself. That's my goal. I started working out this week after years. I'm still really bad but I KNOW I'll get better at it. I'll come back to this comment when I see progress and love myself more! This is my promise to myself! I'll come to back this comment!

The company you keep section is so true. I had to have a really serious conversation with my husband a few weeks ago because I suggested we have a stir fry for dinner and suddenly he went on a rant about how -obsessive- I'd gotten about food and fitness. I've just been slowly increasing physical activity and slowly changing my diet to be healthier over the last 4 months. It's all good now but it's interesting when you're feeling great but it's threatening to other people.

This was the first video I came across after searching for weightloss motivation. Since lockdown I-ve gained what I imagine is probably about 3 stone (2/3 dress sizes. I-ve become a prisoner in a body I don-t recognise and I-m struggling to really stick to any kind of routine. I found your video super helpful and inspiring so I-m filled with a renewed sense of purpose and will probably rewatch when I have a lull! Thanks for making this video x

I think one of the more important things you mentioned is that you didn't start losing weight till approximately 6-7 weeks after. I'm back out to gym after gaining 30lbs. This is week 4 and I've barely lost any weight, but I keep telling myself i didn't gain the weight in 4 weeks so im not gonna lose it in that time. Im just pushing through. I have my down days and slip with my nutrition but I get right back on it the next day.

One thing I'm doing right now is applying the 12 steps in recovery from celebrate recovery to my weightloss and just being real with myself about how I'm feeling. Regular journaling has never stuck for weightloss bit I know the 12 steps work because it saved my life and I now help others get out of addiction. So this approach seems to be helpful practical and liveable for me. Thank you for this video very helpful
