Cassy, I had to pause the vid at 7: 25 as I was starting to paw tears out of my eyes. All my life I have been told that I won't be able to anything and that I will be on the streets, this came from family and tutors during primary and secondary school. This is haunting me every day. My mom and dad want me to be a farmer to take over the farm when I got old enough but I refuse as I hate farming in all together. I had no clue what I wanted to do in life so I took a kennel assistant job locally to get me started just so I knew I had something, about 6 years (near the end of 2015) things started clicking and I was interested into fitness and I decided to enroll in a course that I could do at home while working around my kennel job to become a personal trainer I told my parents a few weeks later and they. broke in tears as that I was not one bit going to pursue what they wanted me to do. Forward to today I have finally got my Level 2 qualification and moving on to L3 my parents are supporting me as best as they can as they had to accept that this is what I want to do in my life, and like knowing things are moving I feel a slow lift starting, I've got this funny feeling starting up while I am doing this Level 3 qualification, when I get that I will be able to start personal training. Cassy, you are my insperation to keep on going to pursue my dream, thank you. ( sorry for the long comment just had to say)

I just recently found your blog and you are so inspirational! People always think my dream/goal is immature or childish. Luckily I have really supportive parents and friends, but I'm talking about people I'm obligated to talk to (coworkers, extended family, parents friends and coworkers. I've never had one dream. I never grew up with a strong passion of what I wanted to do for a living. All the other kids at my school had specific dreams (doctor, vet, military, etc. I wanted to do everything and still do. National Guard/Reserves, writing a cookbook, having a blog, candle making business, getting a 2nd degree in Zoology and working with endangered animals. For more long term I'd like having a small homestead farm, and a family, maybe home school my children (depending on what state we end up living in. I've always had a lot of hobbies and interests so I couldn't pick just one thing to do until retirement. It's just never appealed to me. I hope to accomplish some of these soon! I'm getting my certification in Medical Billing and Coding now so I can have a higher paying job to help some of these goals along and am currently working on my cookbook. I'm also hoping to start candles soon because I recently got a job in my new town! Thank you so much for being you: )

I might seem a bit over the top and maybe a little over ambitious but I will become a fashion designer. I will work myself down to the bone to get it. It's not about wanting for me, it's kinda needing. It's like being a fashion designer is my only priority in life and I will make sure I get it. I've planned to become a fashion designer ever since I could really think. Yes I do have a passion for fashion but it's more about the making of clothing not just the title of job. I love to learn about the machinery and fabrics and woven fibres used in textiles not the fact that I would be called a fashion designer. I know a lot of people who say they want to be a fashion designer but when I mention about the more complex part of fashion designing they're like Oh I don't want to do that, I just really wanna be a fashion designer. Know what you want to do and have an interest in everything that comes with it.

Stories like this are really stories that truely inspire me and keep me going! I always wanted to be an actress and just like your Dad did my parents kept telling me that dreams don't come true. Not because they wanted to be mean but because they simply believed that because theirs never did and they didn't want me to get hurt. But it shattered my little soul. I understand why you still cry over this, I literally feel the same. I'm in business school now and I hate ever second of it. I never persued acting. But I just recently realized that I shouldn't give up on myself. My heart yearns for acting even after 10 years. I'm not saying that I'll go out there and be a red carpet actress but if acting is all that my heart wants to do than this is what I should do. Even if it ends up just being a hobby. You are what you're attracted to. I was always an actress by heart. Thanks for the inspiration, Cassey

A similar thing happened to me, in 8th grade I was invited to be apart of my first outside of school art show with these other local artists who thought I had talent. I was really excited and proud. My parents and my friends constantly supported me, but my best friends dad told me that I wasn't ever gonna make it as an artist the day before the art show, he said there was no point in trying to be an artist and that really hurt. I went home and cried and told my mom. She said that sometimes people don't understand what it means to be an artist and how there are so many different types of artists, like Jonathan Ive who designs apple phones, architects, furnisher designers, sculptors, and so many more. I realized then that some people have a fixated idea on what an artist is and their opinions don't determine what people can and can't do.

I had always wanted to be an author, doctor, or lawyer. Those are pretty good jobs too. But one of my most wanted jobs is modelling, I don't want to model because of fame, or money. I just love the feeling when you stand in a photo studio, wearing different outfits and doing what you want, while the photographer captured your best moment. I feel like that's so magical, you didn't even pose those moves on purpose! Btw, I have done modelling once. I never told my parents, but gave them some clues. Like: Wow, I really enjoy the feeling of modelling. But my friends and family always say: Tch, modelling? You wanna try? What kind of job is that? Or they would say: You would never make it, I promise.

i was ridiculously deep in depression in high school and stopped allowing good things to come because i didn't feel worth it and didn't have a support system. dropping things i wanted to do became so easy. it was a mess. on my path to healing i started allowing myself to enjoy the good things and with wanting to be better than i was the day before. it started bearing fruit one day. here i am enjoying working out, doing what i still love occasionally, appreciating positivity more than ever. when someone says 'you gotta do this for _you_' i feel like backing up that statement a thousand percent. you will definitely get yourself there!

i have no motivation to do anything except working on what i like. nothing else is important to me. but my parents will never let me do what i want. my brother also wanted to convince them that he was not suited for what my parents want from us but they ended up fighting really bad and my brother had no choice but to agree on studying what my parents want bc otherwise they would completely cut off any relations with my brother: / i feel at the bottom of my life. i have no idea what am i doing and why am i doing it. i was so passionate about life before but now i dont feel any joy anymore.

I also relate to you, Cassey and thank you for the inspiration and advice. I was been told that whatever it is that I've plan and dream it will fail and that really hurt and killed my soul as well, but I've have the strength to keep going (it's like a baby sea turtle reaching to the ocean from its nest.
If people are telling you, you can't make it, you can't do it and you will fail
You always have a choice to
A) listen to them and just be stomped down into the ashes
or
B) To be confident and see what you can do
Do what you can to succeed.

Wow Cassey. I've recently started watching your videos to help me workout and eat healthy, and I love these kinds of videos that you make; I'm a senior in high school and all my family can talk about is how I'm not going to be able to pay for it and how I should just stay home and go to community college. This video came right when I needed it. Thank you so much for all of the inspiration and support you and your videos offer to so many people. I'm so proud of you! Thank you for being such an amazing role model!
