What ICE BATHS Do To Your MUSCLES!

Do you know what ice baths actually do to your muscles? This is shocking! River: Ryan's advices have led to the most effective exercises I have ever done (and most excruciating, but results speak for themselves. I did calisthenics and bodyweight exercises mostly, but I have found these extra tips of his for these types of exercises to be far more effective and satisfying to me personally than any painful occasions before that in the gym. In the process I took a muscle gain plan from Next Level Diet, and without any additional supplements needed, my muscles started to grow massively over the last two months. Thank you Ryan for all the work you have done over the years.

Ryan I need your health opinion on a matter that's been has been bothering me for 2 months now. I'm 46 and I'm fortunate to have a really good physique 2 months ago I done some weighted scissor kicks a several other lower ab exercises. Very intense ones in 2 MN intervals. I believe I have done something wrong to them. No pain but now I have a pugde that only I notice but it's different now. It's like I don't have the muscles down there anymore. Idk man idk where I could go to get the right diagnosis. It's like I'm bloated now vs straight 6 pack

I think it's all about the window of time you do the ice bath.
Right after is no good - as you inhibit inflammation which is the pre-cursor to growth.
But as part of recovery I think it has a benefit - in Australia, it's common for football players to take a cold dip in the sea (in Winter) the day after a match as part of recovery.
I train, fasted, first thing in the morning and warm shower after that before work. But at night - it's cold shower before bed for the recovery, the mental benefits and it helps promote sleep.

So in Nov 2021 i was 235lbs started working out, i do cardio afterwards and watching your videos for different exercises. Today April 9, 2022 I am at 205lbs and my strength has increased exponentially (example bench went from 185ish to 275. I also changed my eating habits watching what i eat as well as the portion control. Losing that much weight at 50 years old has been a grind but i am determined to reach my goal of being around 14%BFI and 190-200lbs is within reach. I agree KEEP AT IT.

Ryan. I've bought all 3 of your programs. a single exercise can take 20mins. can you consider the time when creating these and cut the reps or increase the weight or cut the sets?
2hr+ exercises all every day when you have to share gym equipment is a shitty feeling let alone having to stay there nearly 3hrs.
Didn't you say 45mins was a good number to destroy body?
Your week 1 ppl has us do 640 reps for first exercise of single db arm bent over row.

Boom! I agree with that logic. It's the same reason I hold my breath in the water, 5 secs to long. I practice being comfortable without breathing and when I come up, man, air is sweet and for the rest of the day, I'm unbothered, because I started off with near death and let's face it, no drama is worse than 3 secs short of air. I'm subscribing, because his philosophy crosses with mine. Thanks Ryan. Being comfortable out your comfort zone.

Every time I watch your videos I get a beer it makes me feel like I am watching comedy and laugh my ass off at your clever ways to exercise. Then I head to the Gym and Kick my ass all over again. I am not into the cold shit I just rather complain to my friends and wife about how crapy I feel the next day- Then I go to the gym and do it again- that's my version of a cold ice bath.

Instead of his usual 2-3 hour workout four days a week, Clint Eastwood switched to a one-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week routine. -One day I-ll go in and do an hour of just shoulders arms, - he says. -The next day I-ll do an hour of back and chest. Next day legs. Then depending on my schedule, I-ll run or use the Stair Master or a computerized stationary bike. -
