To my eye as a historian, the American betrayal of France in the 1920s is the single most important event to occur during the interwar years. The betrayal led directly to WWII. France had every right to be angry with this betrayal but it was decided after WWII to play down this betrayal and not talk about it. That's a shame and I blame French historians who cravenly went along with the suppression of this vital event. Shame on them!

I remember an interview with an old German lady who had been a young girl at the time of the inflation. She and her mother had gone shopping, struggling under the weight of their basket-load of money. They saw a crowd gathering at the baker's, so put down the load and rushed to see what was on sale. When they got back, the money was there, but somebody had stolen the basket.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3: 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me has everlasting life. John 6: 47

I am legit tired of seeing comments saying they should have dissolved Germany if they had did that communism could have risen in Germany and would have hastened a world war and it would also serve as communist propaganda against democracy

History Matters: This upset the French and the Belgians who wanted their money because of the horrors that they had to endure in WWI.
Subtitles: the horrors they had to enjoy in WWI.

European officials have a storied history of shooting themselves in the foot on full auto. I'm really excited to see my American administration using it as a blueprint

So this is why the French surrendered instantly in WWII, if they resisted they were gonna get flattened by unrestrained vengeance.
